Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Consumers generally find the advanced robotic lawn mowers remarkably easy to set up and use, appreciating the efficient cutting performance and reliable daily operation across various lawns. Many people also highlight the exceptionally helpful customer support and remarkably smooth repair processes provided whenever technical issues occur. However, some customers also noted frustrating experiences regarding unexpected device breakdowns and completely unresponsive support teams during critical moments of need. Reviewers frequently reported severe mechanical failures, problematic software updates, and major difficulties getting timely replacement parts to fix their broken machines.

用户怎么说

Good product, no support.

The mower itself is good with a few flaws like the fact that it's not water proof as advertised: 4/5. The application still requires some work, but overall pretty good: 3/5. Presale support, after sale/before delivery, after sale, any kind of communication with the company is really bad: 0/5. When we purchase from then, they take the complete amount from the credit card, without giving any delivery delay. They still to think they are on Kickstarter. They never realized what beeing a real company is.

Logistics need figured out ASAP

The lag in email response to queries about my order was troubling but now my bigger concern is the inability to ship anything on time. I've been waiting for a month to get my l-rod mount. I live in a very open sky location but Luba still struggles to maintain a signal. I do like the mower but the signal and poor record on shipping is not building confidence that this is going to be a product I have very long.

A ways to go

Updating to 3 stars from 2 Unit - unit takes in rain water - blades bind up with grass - can't spray clean the mower deck Firmware / software - unit randomly turns off 8/15/23 Update: fixed - connection via wifi is terrible 8/15/23 Update: fixed - no app notifications to my phone so I dont know when it ran into an error or completed or lifted and possibly stolen

Glitchy update

Glitchy update. My mower has always had “fine” signal quality. Since the update the status has said “fix” and Luba’s signal quality has said “weak”. Never said that before, nothing else changes. Other changes I’d like to see: 1. Push notifications for various issues/alerts. 2. Renaming of zones. 3. Zone names showing up in the schedule. It’s been a good mower. When the glitches are ironed out I’ll be happy that I bought it.

The whole buying experience and owner risks

I really like the concept of the product. I understand the technology is in early stages, but as it is software driven I hope you will provide lots of bug fixes and new features to all current/future owners. Also if there are hardware improvements that a handy owner can do himself, such as improved cutting disks and guards, you would make these available to early adopters either free or at a reasonable price. Early adopters have risked a lot of money for what could turn into a doorstop. Improved mapping and the mower’s ability to adjust to issues like an RTK antenna moving would be nice. I had an issue where suddenly my maps shifted about a foot and the mower was going where it shouldn’t. I had to remap to fix. Not sure why that happened, antenna mounted on top of a structure. You already know but the top topic in the forums is customer service and support needs to get much better. I personally have have ok support. Generally 2 or 3 days for a response. Could be better, but not as bad as some stories I’ve seen online. Keep improving and keep your owners/investors in mind as you make improvements. Thanks Russell Hardie

Water is a big problem.

The technology is fantastic. The engineering/build is an issue. The RTK antenna is not water proof as the circuit board was sitting in an inch of rainwater that had gradually collected. It now does not function at all. I am now waiting to hear from Mammotion about what will happen next. It seems there are some simple fixes that could be made to prevent water problems. A redesign of the antenna shell without exposed seams should be a priority as there seem to be a lot of customer’s experiencing this issue. With that, I love this machine, and will continue to endorse it as I believe the company can fix this problem.

The mower has generally been solid

The mower has generally been solid. There are a few frustrating issues such as it's ability to address when it loses GPS signal. Instead of searching GPS signal it just stops and never gains signal again. I'm not sure how challenging it would be for it to recognize the point where signal degraded but it would be awesome if it could back track to retrieve signal or at least move itself to a position in the zone where it can gather signal and restart the mowing process. Additionally, the screws on the blades are weak and strip easily. If grass gets stuck under the blades or the screws tighten too much then you have to use pliers to remove the screws and that dramatically increases the time to change the blades. When the mower parks to be let into a gate, pressing the home button actually does nothing. It doesn't return the mower home and requires that you manually drive the mower until it has signal again or registers being in the zone. Finally, if you can find a way to combine gps and wifi when wifi signal is available to help with tracking, triangulation, and general resilience for connectivity then that would make the mower much more resilient for common residential use.

The unit works pretty good, tears up lawn

The unit works pretty good, however the tires are tearing up my lawn. I purchased this model 2 months ago and now they are selling it with Omni tires. This is disappointing because I would have purchased this latter if I had known. I now have a 3k mower that tears up my lawn. I am hopeful to have mammotion rectify or contact me on this .

good but still glitchy

first of all I bought a bracket for the antenna to mount it up higher that still has never arrived. second the programming instructions are not good at all, you should have better video or written directions on how to set up the mower to run at different speeds and use "high grass mode" if you don't want it to dodge every long blade of grass and create huge clumpy lawn areas that you then have to mow by hand. 3rd is you should provide optional gate systems for people like me to install so the mower can find its way through the gate and mow like the front yard or whatever. I made my own by handle and it works ok. 4th this mower will stop randomly in the middle of the yard at least once a week and you have go find it and cycle it and convince it to go home and charge. 5th is that it depends too heavily on bluetooth and not just wifi. If you want to log into it you have to physically get into bluetooth range and to reset it you have to manually press a sequence of buttons on the mower. This would be way better if you could do it all over wifi from another continent on your phone. It's a complicated gadget that no one in the house will attempt to deal with but me, but I am the guy who no longer has to mow all the time. I appreciate the help and its not terrible but it needs better software.

Best remote mower on the market. But still needs improvements

Best remote mower on the market. A few things that I don't like, is won't go up hill on wet grass so I mow late in the day. If you mow small area's it is tough on the grass. Doesn't like deep grass. Great fun to set up and play with, easy to program. Mows fine, can strip. Don't let your wife drive over it,

Nice idea, terrible customer service

I like the idea, and much of the implementation of the product. However, the customer service is AWFUL. I've been waiting for 3 months for customer service to send me some missing items from my initial purchase. I know many others have experience hardware failures that they have gotten no response to on warranty claims. When I had initial software issues setting up the zones, It took me far too long to get help, and that help didn't really solve my problem.

The mower is performing it’s tasks…

The mower is performing it’s tasks effectively which is important. App still needs some refinement, polishing, and practical use features. Unit and app enhancements continue to be released which has improved usability and I look forward to additional usability. Kudos. Unfortunately good documentation, faq, and communication is lacking. Many user issues could be avoided if this was in place. The unit seems plagued with minor bugs, often corrected by a full reboot. I know releasing such a product is not simple. I provide some margin of error and so far the response on improving the product has been good. High marks for striving to improve on a technically working product. Negative mark for documentation and communication. I have not needed support yet so no comment. Lack of ability to purchase spare parts is concerning.

Would buy again!

I love my Luba 5000. Delivery took about two weeks longer than expected but it was worth the wait. I have seen small bugs in the app that have been fixed with updates. Setup was simple, and I was surprised to figure out that the Luba did not need line of sight to the RTK, and it would work on all sides of my house without being mounted on the roof. The cutting patterns are great and you get perfect straight lines each cut. I do wish that it cut a little higher, but the highest is doing just fine (70mm). The unit is super quiet and incredibly accurate in its positioning and does incredibly well on the hillsides around my home. The blades occasionally get stuck, but I just give them a check about once a week - I don’t think the instructions were clear that they should be free to rotate. The obstacle avoidance has been great, the visual sensors even had it coming around a bird (that’s how quiet it is). So far I am obsessed with my Luba and hope to continue to love it for a long time. At this time I would absolutely buy it again, my neighbors are completely jealous while they are out there sweating in the heat and humidity to cut their lawns or waiting on their lawn service while my grass is always freshly cut!

Great lines & automation, but weak signal

Overall I recommend Mammotion's Luba! Pros: It makes really straight cross line cuts. The grass looks great! The automation with scheduling cuts is great as well. Cons: The Luba will sometimes drive just outside of the perimeter that I drew for it. This has caused it to go about a foot outside of the zone where it ran over a plastic drainage pipe and cut it up. It also drives into my wire fence daily as it doesn't detect it as an object until it runs into it twice. I wish it would self-learn that area instead of repeatedly beating up that area. It also has caused it to essentially get lost and it stayed there until I noticed and drove it back into the zone. The other major concern I had, was signal. Even though the antenna is away from any trees and the house, it doesn't have a great range. Sometimes the Luba is lost within 40 feet of it. This made it where I could only have it mow half of the back yard and half of one side yard. It still saves me time, but I wish I could have used it for a further range. I have about 7/10ths of an acre of land. Even though I programmed the Luba to follow the outside perimeter when traveling to new locations, it will take the shorted path causing a diagonal line through the grass.
