Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Consumers generally find the advanced robotic lawn mowers remarkably easy to set up and use, appreciating the efficient cutting performance and reliable daily operation across various lawns. Many people also highlight the exceptionally helpful customer support and remarkably smooth repair processes provided whenever technical issues occur. However, some customers also noted frustrating experiences regarding unexpected device breakdowns and completely unresponsive support teams during critical moments of need. Reviewers frequently reported severe mechanical failures, problematic software updates, and major difficulties getting timely replacement parts to fix their broken machines.

The Luba mower is great if you have a square grass lawn with nothing else, and never need aftersales service!!

The Luba mower is great if you have a garden with no trees or obstacles, don’t bother if you don’t!! My main criticism is the after sales service, which is awful. It is impossible to talk to anyone, all done on live chat. My mower lost connection and had to be returned. I specifically requested that the map of my garden I had painstakingly done (took about 4 hours) was not deleted - guess what?! Yes they deleted it. Also, at no point was I contacted to say what had gone wrong with the mower? Just simply returned in a box a week later with no communication whatsoever.

I have tried and tried to get an update on our order but no one will respond. Phone number hangs up after saying "Sawee, we Busy". Chat bot customer support was useless. Waited an hour and no one responded. I have emailed numerous times and get a ticket number automated response. the original purchase said I wouldn't pay until it shipped but I was charged the next day. its been two months. Have filed a case with PayPal. Hope to just get my money back at this point.... Update... I filed a case with PayPal and two days later I got a note that the yuka shipped.

No Customer support

No Customer support The customer support for the LUBA 2 is non existent. I have found that as the RFK transmitter is manufactured in China, it is not manufactured to UK specifications. This means that it is unshielded and the signal that it emits may disrupt signals to other electronic devices and cause them to stop working. I am yet to receive any support from Mammotion regarding this issue. In addition the sales specs say that the LUBA 2 5000 can mow lawns up to 5,000M2. NO IT CANNOT. I have a lawn area that is 1,800m2 (I reduced the mowing area to this size in an attempt to mow it in one go, my actual lawn area is c3,500m2) the LUBA 2 is unable on an economy cut to cut this area 1,800m2 in one go. By splitting the area into 2 smaller lawn areas of c900m each it can cut each one in half a day. It still needs to return to base to recharge at least once to accomplish the mowing of each area of lawn. There is no way that there is enough time in a week given the continual recharging and dew on the lawns in the morning for this mower to mow 5,000m2, unless you have absolutely perfect conditions. In addition it is unable to mow in low light conditions, so will stop in the evening. So are limited to window between about midday and 8pm to mow. It has never managed to mow for more than 1-2hrs at a time, so where the specs come from that say it can mow 5,000m2 are just not true. I still have to use a ride on mower and self propelled mower to cover everything that it is unable to achieve which is about 50% of my lawn area. If you have a lawn of c900m then perfect it can go out every other day and I am sure that you will have a decent looking lawn. Any larger area and it will get clogged in the morning dew or very light rain, so midday onwards for mowing is really your only option for a lot of the year. In order to keep a decent lawn you will have to get it to the optimum height with regular ride-on/manual mowing first. Anything longer than just a trim and the mower will struggle to mulch it and you will be left with tufts everywhere, or the mower stranded as it has become blocked.

Don’t be put off by 1st impressions. It does work.

UK. Having purchased a > £2000 Mammotion Luba 2 mower. Despite many grumbles getting it up and running, I am now actually pleased with it. I recommend it. Physical set up is tricky since the user guide is poor, but trying for hours you can get there and the weeks since delivery have proven a very capable product, especially the mower itself capabilities. It does do the job if you persevere. The App is not intuitive but does contain most of the essential features, albeit with minor bugs. Support?? Forget it. Email support - no response ever. Try 'support' chat and you get a young kid who trys his best but clearly knows next to nothing about the product and its problematic settup and cannot help and has no one to help him. However, don’t give up, awesome job when you master it. Mammotion needs to put a lot more effort into support to its customers. Owner (Disappointed initially, but now quite impressed). Mammotion Luba2 AWD UK.

Luba 2 Not That Great

Firstly there was a delay in shipping which customer services did not notify me about. I had to enquire. That should have been a red flag for the level of service I was to receive moving forward. I was quite excited to receive the Luba 2 5000 and at the weekend got to work setting it up. All seems simple enough. Programmme the do and don’t go areas. Great! I only want it to maintain 1 acre. The problems start when it randomly stops, goes beyond the perimeter or the ‘cutting discs overload’ (that’s common) and shuts downs. There are no pushed alerts to notify that it has an issue so if it does not receive attention it just stops. A few times I have been able to restart it by manually moving it via the app so it reinitiates. Mostly I have to start the process again. There no longer seems to be a function by which you can begin a certain percentage of the way through a task. It does not work at night if the ‘ambient light levels are too low’ again shutting down and needing to be reset. The run time is equivalent to the charge time. So if the task is calculated at 192 mins one needs to at least double that time to allow for charging. I have found that the Luba 2 needs to charge after about an hour and twenty mins, not the advertised 3 hours in the spec sheet. My relatively flat acre takes 3 days (21 hours with charging) to mow with Luba, as I have had to split it into 3 areas and programme each task for a day. it takes an hour and half on the ride on mower. I have emailed several times asking where the additional cutting blades are that should have been included in the promotion and have had no response. The in app customer service feature is frustrating and slow leaving one feel it is of no help. ‘We’ll pass this query on to the relevant department’ is the only response one gets. Just buy a ride on mower and have done with the hassle of having to reset and restart.

Probably the best robotic mower in the world.

This machine has revolutionised my life. It has saved me from the drudgery of over 2 hours mowing in excess of 2000 sqm of lawns at least once a week, a task my advancing age was making harder to do. The steep banks and complex shapes of my lawns, with their many inset rocks and features, meant until Luba these lawns could only be mowed using a walk behind self-propelled mower. Notwithstanding how impressed I am with Luba, do not expect it to be problem free. Conventional mowers are not problem free; with Luba you just get different problems. Because Luba always takes the same path and steers like a tank, where it regularly turns it chews up the lawn. However, unlike a wire guided robot mower you can dynamically change its boundaries to mitigate that. If you live in a damp climate, it will like an ordinary mower need frequent cleaning but due to its small swing out blades this is a much more fiddly process. Also, because Luba relies on satellite signals, corrected to gain greater accuracy by a wirelessly connected RTK, it will in poor reception areas or where there are reflections lose its position and bump into rocks, walls or even drive or slip out of bounds. Luba does not like trees with thick foliage, but nor does grass. Again once you are aware of these problem areas you just dynamically adjust the boundary to avoid them. After 6 months my Luba is a little scratched from bumping off rocks but so is my walk behind mower. Luba is still a work in progress and has over the year with regular updates got steadily better. My greatest concern is the lack of a national agent and local repair agency and this is why I dropped a star. However, it has already paid for itself so if the worst happens I will simply replace it. All in all Luba is a stylish looking, really fun machine and tremendous value. I really love it!

Overall quite good - Luba 5000

Overall quite good. Well designed and built mower (Luba 5000) well packaged and fairly easy to setup. Pros; positioning works well and very easy to set task areas, makes nice straight lines (v's random cutting) some setup options (speeds, angles, schedules) cuts well -mostly. Cons; clogs easily and frequently if grass is even slightly damp (which is a lot of the time in Ireland, ability to set excl times like 9pm-11am would be huge benefit - Mammotion) or if trying to cut more than a few mm, rain sensor useless - only stops if a downpour, turning areas often torn up due to harsh turning functionality. Also the regular software updates, altho bring welcome additional functions, sometimes cause new problems, but they do provide active support thru Reddit forum, aswell as more customer experiences and tips there to read.

Great auto mower

Great auto mower! I owned 2 Husqvarna automowers for 5 years and bought 1 Luba. 1 week after operating it I ordered a second one and sold my Husqvarnas. No regrets! The OTA updates have addressed 90% of any issues and I'm sure they will continue to improve. There are some known water engress issues and obviously the company has been overwhelmed with its success but they seem to be working hard to address the issues. I would highly recommend Luba!

Autonomous mowing for everyone

Mammotion still needs to work on a few issues pertaining to logistics and after sales support, but all-in-all I give Mammotion and the Luba 4-stars for a superior product at a reasonable price. The Luba series autonomous mowers by Mammotion are leading the way in autonomous lawn mowing. The hardware is beautifully made with quality parts and materials. The software is modern, intuitive, and is updated often. It’s safe, simple, and stylish.

A learning experience for both Luba and myself

Have had the unit for about a month and am satisfied with the results. My back yard is fenced in and has a row of shrubs abut 5 feet from the fence and a row of trees about 5 feet from the shrubs in two locations. The front has areas on both sides of the driveway so I set up 3 areas with paths in between. I have been experimenting with the various settings to minimize the manual trimming in these tree/shrub areas. So far I have tried no go zones around each of the 25 trees and two long zones around two groups of trees. The tree trunks are about 3 inch diameter and 4 feet apart. For the first use I mapped the yard without any no go zones to test the obstacle detection/avoidance. The unit required assistance 3 or 4 times to reposition from it being stuck in the shrubs. After that decided the no go zones would be required and Luba was able to complete the back yard without manual repositioning. Some suggestions for the software based on my yard. Increase the number of perimeter passes settings to 8 or 9 to allow cutting between the two rows of shrubs/trees as the mowing in that area is now hit or miss. As the distance from the front and side of the Luba is different, it would be helpful to have Luba cut closer to the no go zone when traveling parallel to the zone rather than using the larger front distance needed when approaching the zone perpendicular. I have not yet found a way to label the cutting areas and as a result need to change settings for each area as last setting is retained. Last would suggest using a different type of head on the blade retention screws so less downward force is required to remove the screws for blade replacement. A torx, Allen head, or square drive would require less force to remove the screw which would reduce the force on the blade disc. The performance on open lawn is very good and the multiple options for height, cut overlap, straight, crosshatch, and angle are all useful features. I recommend this product.

The Luba 5K is very effective in an…

The Luba 5K is very effective in an area with open sky's and flat to mostly flat ground. With good GPS position it is spot on mowing designated areas. It's only shortcomings, to date, are the wheels when on hills over 15° or so. The tread won't hold the hill when turning and it can slide into areas outside programmed boundaries. This looks more like the tread design than a programming issue. There is no manual mode for mowing small areas or areas it has difficulty navigating. These are relatively small annoyances compared to the overall effectiveness of the unit. Regular program updates have provided a more user friendly platform and are easily in automatically installed. Cleaning and maintenance on the unit is simple with a small hex wrench. The biggest drawback is probably a lack of real-time customer service.

I like the Luba mower

I like the Luba mower. When I can schedule when it mows and I don't have to worry about starting, charging, perimeter wires, or even the plants in the yard. However, I wish I could edit the no cut zones without deleting the entire zone and reprogramming it. I am disabled and that is a real challenge for me.

Useless without reply from tech support

LUBA 5000 itself works great. Antenna range is excellent to cover 2 acres. The user interface is not that intuitive and too small on a smartphone. The app is not supported on laptop or Chromebook, so you can't use it on a larger screen. Trying to navigate it on a smartphone is difficult for a large and complicated area. I wish this can be done using a regular game joystick. It supports multiple separate areas, but only one path between them which causes the grass to be worn on that path because it has to go back and forth many times to recharge. It needs to allow for wider and random path to avoid this. It quits suddenly when location signal is lost rather than attempting to reverse whatever it was doing for a short distance to get the signal back. It needs an option to resume when manually stopped (say, it started raining) and sent home to recharge. Otherwise it has to mow the whole area again which could be 2 acres and that can take multiple days to finish.

Solidly built mower; cuts great

Solidly built mower. Cuts great; accurately follows programmed boundaries. Unlike a previous robotic mower I had, it doesn't get stuck or turned upside down. Mounting RTK antenna to house 10 ft off ground with good view of sky is important; the first 2 places I tried had poor signal so I had to start all over again setting boundaries. Software is imperfect but workable. Expect to spend at least 5 hours with setup. Customer support is weak, according to other reviews.
