评价综述

AI 生成

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently struggle with unresponsive support teams, difficult communication channels, and unhelpful handling of warranty claims when things go completely wrong. Consumers also encounter major ongoing issues with hardware quality, frustrating connectivity failures, and unexpected shipping delays that leave physical orders stuck or completely missing for weeks. Some reviewers were happy with the nice products, beautiful lighting designs, and timely delivery services received initially without any major problems. Others noted that the equipment can look amazing once successfully installed, though achieving that operational state often requires considerable patience during the initial setup process.

immature product - stay away!

In June 2023, I let myself be seduced into pre-ordering the Nanoleaf 4D. Maybe I should have waited until the first reports were available. Now I have had some experiences myself, which I share here. Mind you, I had this experience with two kits, as I had asked for the first to be exchanged due to the problems. But at least the impression arises that the shortcomings described below are fundamental errors of the Nanoleaf 4D. The equipment is good and (almost) complete, but: the kit, actually the controller, has significant technical weaknesses in my opinion. The first time the mobile app is paired with the controller, the first point that I find problematic, but which the Nanoleaf 4D shares with other similar products, becomes apparent: the controller provides its own WIFI network. This means that connecting the cell phone to the controller in order to change settings or another lighting program requires that the normal Internet connection has to be interrupted each time. You could live with it if it weren't for the fact that the controller is technically immature in my opinion. After the first pairing of the controller with the mobile phone, I was initially only able to establish a connection sporadically, and in the end I was no longer able to connect at all. Without a connection, however, no settings can be made using the app. The LEDs can only be switched off via the app, they cannot be switched on without a WIFI connection. This, in turn, can only be established after the controller has been manually (!) switched on. Then, with both tested controllers, on both mobile devices used and after various new installations and reconnections, the app pointed out insistently that the firmware of the controller was outdated and therefore functions (which ones?) were not available. However, there was no option to perform a firmware update. The app claimed under the device info that the firmware is up to date. You can now decide to live with the fact that you may not be able to use new features that are distributed via firmware updates in the future. If it weren't for the fact that the error message appears very frequently (annoying!) and, depending on the display used, also covers the operating elements. After confirming the error message, control elements of the app (program selection) are grayed out again and again and only become active again after random "clicking around". But well, assuming I've decided to use the originally set configuration of the controller forever, to do without alternative features and programs, to ignore the firmware warning messages, then the trouble doesn't stop there, because: the conversion of the TV picture into an ambilight-like LED lighting is poor and shows up in colors that don't match the picture as well as twitching changes in color and brightness, even in quiet scenes or in still pictures(!). Basically, the playback seemed unreasonably restless to me compared to the recorded image. I documented this behavior via video and made it available to Nanoleaf. Note: the European contact is in Paris, which does not necessarily make communication and, if necessary, the enforcement of buyer rights from (in my case) Germany easier. As of this writing I have requested the kit be returned for a refund and but seems the support has stopped all communications. Of course it is possible that the problems I have described here are exceptions and that I was just unlucky to catch two defective devices. However, I would rule out incorrect operation due to several decades of professional and private IT background despite the poor documentation. But who knows, maybe proper documentation would reveal hidden knowledge? At this point in time, I recommend not buying the Nanoleaf 4D and definitely waiting until the kit is ready for the market. I won't buy anything from Nanoleaf anymore. TL;DR - Problematic connection via WIFI instead of Bluetooth - Connection of mobile device with controller only sporadically or not possible at all, i.e. no access to device control! - Error message regarding firmware update, which is not possible - Poorly adjusted color rendering of the LEDs - Poor documentation

Do not work with Denon DJ seperates

Bought these on the back of them being compatible with Denon DJ products but they do not work with their separates ie mixers and media players. Some of this is down to Denon as well but Nanoleaf just have not been very helpful. Tried to return but they just ignored me. They're a great product but one of them is still sat in the box. Hugely disappointed in the overall experience as these are not cheap and you don't market it on the back of something for that not to work!

Dont turn them off using the lightswitch

i have the nanoleaf light panels hexagon, they work fine, but if ever i turn them off using the lightswitch instead of the controller they just completely break, this is an issue i have had multiple times and the only things Nanoleaf has done is send me a new controller, they give no reason as to why this is happening and does not help fix it either

Nanoleaf has made things…

Nanoleaf has made things complicated..to the point of unworkable. I have Meross, Tapo, Broadlink and other devices, all seamless with homekit and Alexa…..then I bought 3 nanoleaf bulbs. First of all, BE WARNED..they dont sync to each other if you set a theme. That means random Blue, Green , Pink or whatever else you set on the bulbs, they will just go their own way independently of each other. ( awful that Nanoleaf hasn’t sorted this out). The environment is ugly with the bulbs on. - set starlight and you have blue 1 bulb, green in the second and red in the third? Wifi- when the bulbs are on they disrupt my wifi- everything in the network seems to loose connection. The app is a nightmare to navigate- its all over the place, to control a bulb or set a scene, you cant find a straightforward option, make it simple Nanoleaf! No simple shortcuts……and worst of all, NO Alexa support. SHOCKING I have Amazon and Siri devices, but all of them can communicate. NOT with Nanoleaf! Its only because I paid treble the price for them, in comparison to any other smart bulb or device I bought, is the reason I haven't binned them. Bad infrastructure and an impossible platform to navigate. Never again

Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Avoid avoid avoid!!! I purchased some doublesided tape. After months of waiting and no delivery insight, I emailed them to find out what was going on. They responded by saying the product had been delivered to me. I contacted UPS who told me that for "security reasons" the product had been returned to the shipper. I asked nanoleaf to refund me but they completely refused and instead offered me a 15% discount on my next purchase. So I basically paid them money, recieved nothing and got "compensated" with something that requires me to pay them even more money! Horrible customer service, horrible company!

Awful company - will not respond

Bought a bulb on Amazon, constant connection issues. Dropped off the thread network and would not reconnect no matter what I tried. Amazon referred me to Nanoleaf for a replacement. After initially explaining the situation they replied suggesting the things I’d already tried and advised they would send a replacement if these didn’t work. This would be the last email I would receive from Nanoleaf. Despite my many follow up emails to them they haven’t replied since. It’s now been more than a month. I have however had several customer surveys asking how they’ve done. Avoid!

Do not buy this trash

The panels are amazing and the idea is great BUT the controller is literally garbage. It will die every few months. I have replaced 4 controllers in 2 years. Imaging paying over 400 dollars for lights that won’t even turn on. Controller will not connect to wifi. Lights won’t turn on or off. This is by far the worst smart product I have ever had. The software needs to be fixed. Then you can enjoy it. If you read forums this problem is there for about 5 years and Nanoleaf refuse to fix their lights. Chinese garbage.

A little bit of praise

This is less about the product and more about the service from this company. Had an issue with a control module. Turns out they had found a flaw in the design and were issuing new ones for free. Fully expecting to wait 3 months to get a new one and it turns up less than a week later. Lights are all up and working again, no issues setting it up and integrated back into my others perfectly. As far as customer satisfaction goes with their service i am over the moon and thought they deserved praise for that!

How do you like to be screwed?

Excited about Matter support for shitload of you smart bulbs from Nanoleaf? Well don’t, because they are not going to add it! Still want matter in Nanoleaf bulbs? Then go and buy their new model that has it! Or you could find a company that doesn’t screw their customers. Depends on how do you like to be screwed I guess.

Prepare to be disappointed and a bit annoyed.

If you’re looking for a solution to brighten up your spaces while you’re asleep or have lights come on for no reason at random times throughout the day, this is the product for you. If you also like buying products that have a problem that’s been around for years and a company that doesn’t seem to care, well you’re in luck there as well. Still, it’s all my fault. Clearly I didn’t spend enough time researching problems with these before I purchased them. Silly me.

Awful

Awful. I bought 12 bulbs and five hex sets from Apple Store and triangles from Costco. The bulbs work every now and then but are usually “updating”. You have to dumb all you Apple products down to 2.4 because Nanoleaf can’t use 5.0 service. Also, it doesn’t work with Apple home. Boxes say it does, but it does not…..consistently anyway. I hope this company goes bankrupt. It’s such a scam. I’d give them a -7 if I could.

1 star is too generous

1 star is too generous. My order was not delivered.ordered November 2022 for Christmas and they are still doing nothing to reimburse me 3 months later.i cant have a refund but i can have 15%discount if I order AGAIN and I was told to call the police and report it as stolen. Apparently the delivery company said they delivered it and 3 months on this is their response. Never heard anything like it before. Do not use this company .the other item that was delivered by the same delivery company at the same time as this item issued another item immediately as the delivery company admitted to a failed delivery

Nanonightmare

I used to love my Nanoleaf products and bought more on the strength of that but I am despairing now because nothing is working and there are inherent design faults. I bought a strip light first but the connection remote (on /off) switch is extremely poor and loose - I have two and they are both as bad. I also have the hexagons and triangles and the control unit had to be replaced on both, support were quick to help but it seems to be a widespread problem. A few months later, the hexagons have become unresponsive again and have just spent all day deleting and adding them to the network. Nothing has changed in my network and I am loathed to reset the router as my autistic son (for whom I bought these lights) will have an extreme meltdown. Looking at forums, the wifi seems to be the only solution offered but I simply cannot keep resetting the router each time I want the lights to work. The second light strip I bought keeps disconnecting as does the A19 bulb in the lounge. I am getting to the point where I just want to go back to standard lights which I can just switch off at the wall with no hassle. I am fed up with having to sort this out and it just causes my son and me distress. I am really sad and disappointed about this because I really did like the lights as did my son but they are just more trouble than they are worth.
