Those decisions are made by the performers, event promoters, and event venues. Unfortunately, Lionel Richie was only able to perform for roughly 55 minutes; however, the event continued for the rest of the show with the performance from Earth, Wind & Fire. Those decisions are made by the performer(s), event promoters, and event venue. Tickets for all postponed events remain valid for entry to the rescheduled date and are ineligible for refunds. Under #2 “Buying Tickets on our site” of our TicketSmarter Terms and Conditions, we state: “Postponed or Rescheduled Events. If you purchase Tickets for an event that is postponed or rescheduled (i.e., if the Tickets remain valid for entry), you will not be entitled to a refund.“ This event was not cancelled; it was rescheduled. It is noted in your order details that you did reach out on June 17th, citing a family emergency and requesting a refund. You were given the option to sell your tickets, and according to your order details, you did not return the consignment confirmation form, which would have allowed us to have your tickets placed on consignment for resale. Your tickets were then transferred to you on June 19th to the email used to place your order. You did receive your tickets for the event, but without the signed consignment form, we can not place your tickets for resale on our site. You did have the option to sell your tickets via any other ticket resale marketplace as well. The sellers are responsible for setting the price of their tickets, which may be above or below face value. Different sellers may list their prices at different pricing levels even if they're in the same section, this includes general admission areas. A higher-priced ticket in a general admission area does not guarantee a better view of the stage. General admission areas are first-come, first-served unless otherwise noted on the ticket listing. Additionally, a pricing breakdown is displayed at checkout, explaining the charges for the customer's order. This pricing breakdown is shown after the customer enters their billing information.
