Excellent technical support
My Growatt SPH-10000TL3-BH got instable after a custom integration where it did not accept MODBUS commands and locked up from time to time. Even though I bought the inverter 3 years ago, Growatt Technical Support helped me by remotely upgrading the firmware after which my problems were solved. I would like to specifically thank Yicheng Zang from Growatt Netherlands for helping me. Due to his help I can now control charging and discharging remotely through Homeassistant. Much appreciated!

I upgraded my batteries with an additional 10kw and I could not get it to work. So I called the support, took only 30 sec for a answer and Periklis helped me to get my new batterys to start working. Really good support.

SYN Backup Box
Had issues with the SYN backup box. * It didn't work off grid * No LED lights After mailing with the distributor, the solution was not found. (The distributor did it's best effort though!) They redirected me to Ayoub Aznadi, whom helped me on a sunday (his day off!) to fix both problems. He did a remote setting change (which fixed the backup problem), and identified a faulty cable. He helped me do a quick fix and then sent over a correct cable. Both issues were quickly fixed when I got direct contact with Growatt. Thanks a lot!

I had a problem with the battery - it would go to sleep when the charge was low, which is fine. BUT it wouldn’t wake up again when there was available solar or when I wanted to charge it from the grid. I was having to go outside and switch it on manually - that is NOT fine. The house and system are just six months old but the issue only became apparent in autumn / winter. I rang Growatt support and an engineer, Yanni, got in touch by WhatsApp within the hour. He tried a few things over the course of a week but no joy. So he arranged for Jianye to visit. He changed communication ports, left for the day but still nada. He came back the next day and changed the Battery Management System and eureka - sorted! It took about 10 / 11 days of back and forth but it was a huge relief to have a working system and I’m grateful for these guys’ persistence. I’ve dropped a star because I feel the brand new kit shouldn’t have gone wrong in the first place.

Inverter replacement experience
Although the fault code on the inverter suggested a short circuit somewhere, our electrician thought that there was a fundamental problem with the inverter itself. When, therefore, he spoke to the company, they immediately arranged to have a replacement unit dispatched under warranty, and this arrived within a couple of days. Happily, they did not insist on us returning the faulty unit first, as we were able to use the same box and packing materials to return the old one. And fortunately, the new unit is working fine, so our electrician was correct. Communications between us and the company have been very good throughout.
Pathetic
Pathetic. Inverters are at best average. Needed warranty support earlier this year. 2-3 months later received my warranty replacement. Only because I forced it. I've been blocked from their support phone number which was patchy at best. Had replacement installed.......and it is also defective. Now to wait a few more months without reliable power till they bother seeing if they want to bother helping or not. If you appreciate support existing, never mind it's quality the avoid at all costs
Growatt have excellent customer service…
Growatt have excellent customer service with engineers available over WhatsApp to resolve issues. They are knowledgeable and able to access your system remotely through the WiFi. I have worked with many large Solar PV companies and have always struggled to speak with an engineer. Having the Growatt engineers available over WhatsApp is a breath of fresh air! A big thank you to Yanni who has resolved issues on a system for me!
Vodafone not compatible. Who knew?
I had an issue which I couldn't resolve on my own. After speaking to tech support, not only did they work out the issue they then promised to send me the part I needed for my inverter. Unless it doesn't come as promised I would give them 10/10 for service. Watch this space!

Growatt have been amazing over the years they never seem to disappoint. The systems are very stright forward to install and they operate as they should. The support is fantastic and very quick on response. Any issue with RMA they are quickly to resolve on site or alternatively replace any equipment in a short space of time. We will continue to use Growatt as it helps with the flow of the business. Well done guys for keeping ontop of your customers
