We would like to note that as stated on our website, shipping cost is based on the actual weight or volumetric weight - whichever is greater. Volumetric weight is calculated by multiplying the width, length and height of your package. Since this is the way the courier companies calculate the prices, this is the method we use as well. Also note that when calculating a shipping price estimate on our calculator page, the insurance cost and the customs amounts are not added to the total, since these amounts change with the item values and the shipping destination country. This information is also available on our page. These can only be seen when the item is received by our hosts and are ready to be shipped internationally after the correct item value and description is declared for the shipment. We offer DDU(Delivery Duties Unpaid) shipping options as well, so you can select this shipping option instead of the DDP(Delivery Duties Paid) option to not pay for the customs duties along with the shipping price. Hi Rebekah, Thank you for your review of Shippn. We're glad to see you have received your package. We'd like to offer an explanation regarding your Buy For Me order with us once again. Your host was handling a lot of packages at their address due to a surplus of orders that they received. While your package was being measured and prepared for international shipment, you started a chargeback request case with your bank over the order purchase amount, but requested that your item be shipped to you while the case was still open. The shipment outcome may change the chargeback case result, but case details and documents can not be reviewed/edited once started. This is the reason shipping a package while there is an ongoing case over the purchase amount is not possible. Shipping a package in this case may result in either you or Shippn being inconvenienced, so we have waited for the case to be closed. Once the case was closed, your item was prepared for international shipment, as discussed. We would like to inform you that the "$200" amount you mentioned is not an extra or an additional amount. It is the standard international shipping payment. As stated on our Buy For Me order creation page, the initial payment you make when you first start the order does not include international shipping, but only the item purchase totals. Once the item arrives at your host's address from the merchant, you then confirm the international shipping payment. Finally, we would like to address the concern that Shippn is a "scam." We understand that delays and communication issues can lead to frustration and uncertainty, and we are sorry that we were unable to provide the level of confidence and reassurance you expected throughout this process.
