Hello Mr. Nelson, Simplyeyeglasses.com has been manufacturing your eyeglass lenses since 2008. Our records show we have manufacture 19 pairs of lenses for over the years. I apologize, you were not satisfied with your last order. If you would like to have your order refunded, please, send me an email. I will have a label sent to you, so you can return your lenses for a full refund. Glass bifocal lenses in photogray extra are a special order. Glass takes longer to manufacture than resin materials. There are very few labs in the country that manufacture glass lenses. We do not want you or any other of customers to be dissatisfied with our service. Hey Charlie, Yes sir glass is becoming exceedingly difficult to find. When I started in the business back in the early 70's we were a glass only lab. Glass is more time consuming and labor intensive than other materials. There's no longer a big demand for glass. Most labs will not grind glass for those two reasons. And yes, as you said, glass will generally last longer. As you probably know, Simply Eyeglasses was a FULL SERVICE lab before going online. We advertise our self in that manner. If we do not grind glass we cannot profess full service. God willing we will continue to offer glass as long as it's available to us.
