Hi Karrel, Thank you for the opportunity to clarify how Splitit installment plans work. After checkout, you will see two transactions on your credit card: 1. One is a temporary authorization (hold); this is not a charge and you do not pay this amount.  1. It is simply a pre-authorization, which is standard for many other types of purchases on your credit card (think hotels, gasoline, etc.).  2. The other is the first installment charge. 1. Each month after, your installment payment is automatically charged until your plan is complete.  Splitit installment plans work using your available credit card balance.
