Attorney review is included with every order, and in your case that review was completed successfully prior to filing. But you were told correctly that advertised processing speeds are for when your application is "first touched" by our team. During the conversation, you asked whether filing your full brand name would also protect a shortened standalone version of the brand. Our representative explained that these are generally considered separate marks by the USPTO and that broader protection for the standalone term would typically require a separate application. Our support representatives are limited to providing general trademark information and cannot provide legal advice or recommend a specific filing strategy based on an individual customer’s situation. Legal guidance and strategic recommendations can only be provided by a licensed attorney or trusted business advisor. We understand that the later attorney consultation may have created confusion regarding the approach that best aligned with your goals, and we appreciate how frustrating that may have felt. We also reviewed the refund concerns raised in your review. The original refund issued did not include the $100 Swyft Legal service fee associated with the preparation work already completed on the application. However, after further review of your situation, we agreed that making an exception beyond our standard refund policy was appropriate. As a result, we have now: -Refunded the remaining $99 associated with the canceled order -Refunded the additional $100 Swyft Legal service fee from the removed Class -Canceled the Trademark Monitoring subscription -Refunded the $199 monitoring charge (Please allow 3-5 business days for these funds to show up in your account). We also apologize for the difficulty you experienced reaching support while outside the United States. The purpose of Trademark Monitoring is to help business owners protect their brand by alerting them to potentially conflicting filings that could impact their trademark rights. Hiring a trademark attorney for ongoing monitoring and related services typically costs significantly more than our annual subscription, which is designed to provide an affordable alternative for small businesses and entrepreneurs. We also recognize that no service experience is perfect for every customer, but we’re proud that the overwhelming majority of our clients have shared positive feedback regarding both our filing process and the support provided by our customer service team.
