I wanted to buy something from their site but the whole time I was trying to read product info, I was being bombarded by requests to join a mailing list, and to get a discount. Now I am not sure if I even want to buy from them.
You have to create an account just to see what shipping costs will be. And after checking it out, their shipping costs are the same as ebay. They are high. They also don't offer media mail even though I was specifically looking for media mail. There are much cheaper services out there.
Almost every order I have made with them has arrived. Been buying from dhgate since 2017. Biggest order was $14,000 on some dvds and everything arrived. Lately I only place small orders. I recently had my first order where the seller never shipped. I got refunded pretty quickly and re purchased from a different seller and just got my order in the mail. The one star reviews are probably from people who don't realize that if they are buying something branded, especially if they buy a lot (thousands or 10's of) that the chance of your package getting flagged is greater. And theres not much a seller can do about it.
The website itself is trash. I get a request to identify myeslf on every page even when I am already logged in. Too many sellers claim to have something in stock but after you make the purchase they mysteriously ran out of stock and you have to apply for a refund. It's hit and miss on the quality but mostly miss.
