Scam Alert - Stay Away
Third one star review for Alibaba within just a few weeks. I’m definitely done doing business there.
The dispute process is unbelievably messy. I never received my order — the tracking number and Alibaba’s own website both show that it never even left China. Yet they keep asking me for “evidence” that I didn’t receive it.
The person handling my refund has already sent me two messages saying they will work on my request after their holiday ends on October 8th. No mention of additional evidence. But at the same time, this same person keeps setting the dispute status to “Buyer is required to submit more evidences” with a deadline. If I don’t upload anything, I automatically lose the case.
The first time this happened, I contacted customer support — completely useless. So I uploaded the same evidence again.
A few days later, I received the exact same meaningless message: wait until October 8th, also suggesting to accept the seller’s proposal, no request for evidence. And again, the dispute was set to “Buyer is required to submit more evidences” with a new deadline. And there is absolutely no seller’s proposal.
They’re doing everything possible to make sure the buyer doesn’t get a refund, even when the order never left China.
Alibaba is a genuinely scammy platform.
Shame on me for trying to purchase from Alibaba more than once.
PS: Their replies to negative reviews are just as scammy. The “contact” they provide is the exact same customer service you already have access to through their webiste — and they’re absolutely no help.

You can't trust their own customer service
A second negative review about Alibaba.com within just a few days.
This time, I received an email stating that I had been granted a full refund as compensation for a late delivery. I found it strange, so I contacted their customer service. I couldn’t speak to a human agent — only their automated chatbot.
The chatbot clearly stated that I had received a full refund as a “guarantee compensation” and that I should wait one or two business days for the money to appear in my account. It also explicitly said that this compensation was independent from my right to request a regular refund. I saved screenshots of everything it said.
After waiting several days and seeing nothing in my account, I contacted customer service again. I was interacting with the chatbot when I finally got the option to speak to a human agent. The agent then told me that the chatbot had provided inaccurate information and that no such compensation existed.
This means their chatbot gave me a large amount of incorrect information — and Alibaba does not stand behind what their own automated system tells customers.

Finally, an at home IPL that works!
Got a JOV Blacken Pro as a gift. A very nice gift.
As opposite to other at home IPL devices I tried, You really feel the Jov Blacken Pro works, when you use it and for few days after.
There's 3 modes: rejuvenation, redness and power, power being the strongest one. They all work differently and they all are for different purposes.
When you use it, you don't feel anything in the two first modes. And you feel a little snap with the power mode, but nothing to say it's painful. And I found that using an aseptic hyaluronic acid serum while using the device helps to lower the feeling of the snaps.
I don't give five stars because everytime I tried the chat function on their webiste, I ended up talking with an AI. And the answers are not all good. As exemple, I said that my dark spots were becoming darker using the device and the AI suggested me to consult with a dermatologist. In fact, I'm not gonna say how and why because it will be a never ending review, but it is normal that the dark spots become darker when you use a good IPL device. The color tend to fade within few days. I was told exfoliating helps the process. I didn't try it yet.
So, I just started using the Blacken Pro. I see the spots and the redness are more apparent, which is a good sign. And it is clear for few days that my skin is in an healing process, which should be another good sign. I'll continue to use the device and update my review in few weeks.
PS: I don't want to do any advertising, but I wish I knew this before spending tons of money on inneficient products: I found the OxygenCeuticals Ceutisome PP sheet masks to be the best masks you can use post-procedure. Holy Grail. I use it after IPL or microneedling and it helps the healing process and to dissipate any discomfort.
