Affordable housing just put a 2 story building starting in 02/26; started taking applications in 05/26 on east Jefferson and vandyke,started emailing applications 06/26 to only call applicants in and say oh we're calling in case some of the already approved applicants don't work out, you're on the list we started taking applications in 06/25 what?my friend been living in a 1 bdrm.for 12yrs.raising her granddaughter and was excited she was contacted,then ask for proof of income to say oh we wanted to see your spending history,very unprofessional come on Detroit affordable housing it's so many of us out here who have waited so long for affordable housing to find out you let people apply before construction even begin that's just no right.my friend is 60 yrs.old retired disabled raising her granddaughter for the last five yrs.off her own personal income she deserves that 2 bdrm,but guess that's out the window.
