We're sorry to hear about your experience. The device you purchased includes a full 1-year manufacturer warranty through Canaan. When you contacted us, you requested a direct refund or for us to replace the unit, which we were unable to provide based on our posted return and warranty policies. However, we did explain that your miner was fully covered under Canaan's manufacturer warranty and provided guidance on how to proceed with a warranty claim. Canaan maintains multiple authorized repair centers around the world, including several in the United States, so customers do not necessarily need to ship hardware overseas for service. In our experience, Canaan has been excellent to work with and has consistently provided professional support and reasonable turnaround times for warranty repairs. We certainly do not sell non-functional devices intentionally, nor do we tell customers "tough luck" when an issue arises. We only sell new unopened boxes. Mining hardware is complex electronic equipment, and while failures can occasionally occur, that is exactly why manufacturer warranties exist. Our team works hard to help customers navigate those warranty processes and get their equipment repaired or replaced as efficiently as possible. Sometimes it does ship separately depending on the order size and what is in the order. I bought an Bitmain Antminer S19K Pro miner from Altair a few weeks back. As I started mining the miner kept rebooting and it was useless . I contacted support to ask for a replacement and they told me that I should go through Bitmain directly. If you are selling this type of technology and you cannot stand behind it with a warranty and replacement strategy for your customers you should not be in this business. Stay away from buying miners from this vendor. Buy from vendors at Amazon instead: at least they offer replacement warranty.
We’re sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your S19K Pro. We do want to clarify that Bitmain miners include a manufacturer warranty handled directly through Bitmain, which is standard practice across the ASIC mining industry. Because of this, warranty repairs and replacements are processed through Bitmain rather than through us directly. When you contacted us, our support team offered to help troubleshoot the issue and requested the miner’s full log file so we could better diagnose the rebooting problem. Unfortunately, the requested logs were never provided, and the troubleshooting assistance we offered was declined. Without those diagnostics, there was very little we could do to accurately identify the cause of the issue. We also provided guidance on the proper Bitmain warranty process so the issue could be addressed as quickly as possible. Bitmain does have authorized repair centers located within the United States, which helps avoid the need for customers to ship miners overseas for service. While we understand this may not have been the experience you expected, we were following Bitmains warranty procedure, which is used throughout the ASIC mining industry. We always strive to assist our customers with troubleshooting, setup support, and warranty guidance wherever possible. We really appreciate your feedback & wish you the best in getting the issue resolved. Altair Technology
