AVOID! Predatory Tactics & Zero Accountability
Misleading Fees: Deceived a teenager into thinking a $95 payment covered a one-month trial, only to claim it was just for a key fob. Did nit cancel contraxt after requests by the minor. Waited months only to claim extra fees from parent.
Ignored Distress: Ignored a grueling 40-message WhatsApp chain where my nephew was visibly distressed trying to cancel.
Hostile Staff: When I intervened, a staff member was incredibly aggressive, hostile, and unprofessional over the phone.
Greedy Resolution: After months of silence, Assistant Manager completely ignored our complaints about staff misconduct and hid behind T&Cs. No apology.
Hidden Management: Staff admitted management actively prohibits their direct emails being given to customers avoid hearing from them. Any business hiding from unhappy customers is one that shut its doors. Avoid Anytime Fitness.
Scammers, IMO. They were not upfront about an impending move when we were signing up for membership. Just a little of 3 months in, they decided to move the gym to another location and refuse to allow cancellation. Terrible, terrible, terrible!
Do not get baited by Anytime Fitness!
I go to the Geylang outlet in the BCH building, and the staff + gym goers who frequent are pretty good people.
Love that my membership also gives me access to regional gyms which is great for a workout with familiar equipment and processes.
Anytime Fitness pay no attention to people sitting on equipment doing their shopping and checking EMails...But you're in trouble if you make a little noise during a workout. More like a Library than a Gym.
