Upgrading my speakers in our TV room…
Upgrading my speakers in our TV room has been an on-going research project for years. Front-ported tower speakers were most-important. Finally an open-box deal on a Novus front-channel speakers aligned with the need to replace the TV... for a similar price. Being open-box I expected some flaws and some boxes looked rather-mugged... but that didn't change the candy in the wrapper one bit!!! They are flawless! After running Audyssey-EQ, the first thing I noticed was amazingly crisp vocals with just a hint of air that hangs just-right in this room from the center channel. An old TV show I like and have on disc has up-right bass in the sound track (how I test all speakers) and the N6Ts convey it nicely : well-done Team! I'll be back for 2 sets of ceiling speakers as soon as I can as I tell the World about you guys.
Very impressed with the quality of the speakers, the ease of installation which was very simple, and the sound quality which exceeded expectations. I liked the way the speakers were packed in a black bag; a bit of mystery! The sound from the speakers was noticably better than my (old) Missions. Especially the mid-range and treble which really stood out. The listening experience was a pleasure with a 'laid back' ambience (rather than being 'attacked') with a soundstage where instruments have a place very clearly. Very impressed!
