The accommodations were beautiful. All of the staff were excellent. The food was superb. I’ve already booked another cruise with Avalon.

Avalon Rhine river southbound July 2025
My wife and I booked the Rhine southbound cruise out of Amsterdam on the Envision. We chose Avalon because of the many positive reviews we saw on YouTube. Our expectations were set accordingly and we were not disappointed! The ship was very clean and fresh in appearance. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. We also enjoyed the excursions. We usually stuck with the included ones, but did take the optional trip to the Maginot Line fortress which was very interesting. Cabins on ships are generally quite small, but we found our Panorama suite to be comfortable and had excellent air conditioning. We can absolutely recommend Avalon for a memorable river cruise!!

Had a wonderful experience. Enjoyed the tours and guides along with meals and entertainment. Staff and crew were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely continue to book tours with Avalon
Avalon knows how to do River Cruises
Avalon knows how to do River Cruises! It is an amazing experience aboard any of their ships. We have been on two European cruises in the last year with Avalon and I have to say that everything was top notch. The rooms were plenty big, service was awesome, food was great, excursions were well done, and every staff member was friendly and helpful.

Another fantastic river cruise with Avalon. The staff is amazing, ship is clean, food is fantastic, and our cruise director John Loup was the best. Included and Optional tours are amazing with nice buses to get us to the locations and interesting local tour guides. On board entertainment was fun.

All the crew were very friendly and no matter what you asked or who you asked they followed through to make sure it was taken care of. The cruise director was excellent and was very knowledgeable about the area and knew about alternate things to do. She was so helpful.

Our cruise up the Danube was fabulous! The crew was so friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless. The food was so good and so plentiful! Avalon took care of everything. I have never felt so relaxed and pampered.

Seven nights of bliss!
Avalon cruises are relaxed and whilst on board every need is met. Being a river cruise sailing too is smooth. The food offerings are fine tuned and a varied menu is on offer..... The staterooms are tastefully designed also equipped & what is most interesting is the french doors opening out giving one a beautiful view of the countryside.

Wonderful Trip for 9!!
For a group of 9 ranging from 13-79, all were very happy with this cruise. The cabins are roomy, service is friendly & top notch. One thing we liked best was having several "included" excursions to pick from, something for everyone with all being excellent. The food was good, service excellent, port stops with excursions were phenomenal!!
Be sure of your shore excursions
This was our first river cruise and we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and 80th birthdays. We could not have wished for a better experience and memory. The crew were amazing and the boat was spotlessly clean and well run.
