It was a wonderful experience! Staff were super friednly, attending to all guests' needs. Beautiful ship and decor. Excellent meals! Excursions were well planned and great! All was super organised and 'smooth sailing' !
Cabins always great. Food very good. I wish there were semi-dry white wine offered at dinner. (Rieslings, not dry). Christmas market in Colmar was not enjoyable, way too crowded. Ship Christmas decorations could have more. We saw other ships inside that were more extensively decorated and festive. Excellent cruise director, Ariana in housekeeping, Miki in dining.
We loved our bucket list Christmas cruise down the Danube River. Rooms were beautiful & welcoming. Very quiet. The chosen excursions were so informative giving us knowledge about their country. The Budapest Christmas market was the BEST by far! Dining on the boat was awesome & always given options. The staff was exceptional!. Highly recommend AVALON
