I am enjoying the software, it’s Brilliant
I just picked up Tier 1 and upgraded to Tier 2. It's exactly what I needed! Setting it up was super easy, even for a beginner like me. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it a breeze to navigate. I like the features for managing members and creating directories all in one place. This gives me the freedom to focus more on growing my business instead of back-end stuff. There's still a lot to learn, but the tutorials and support are awesome. Overall, I think Brilliant Directories is a perfect fit for my project, and I can't wait to use it more.
If you're starting out on your own, use it. It will save you a lot of headaches.
I tried other directories, from the best sellers to others that are very simple and low payment. However, I have also had problems with them and mainly with translation. Every time the loco translate plugin was updated, it would misconfigure everything, or with the theme itself when it was updated, it would get something unconfigured. Mainly in the part where customers showed their information, which is in Spanish. And that was very frequent. And this was a real headache: to stop paying attention to other things to correct this. To begin with, that's why I switched to Brilliant directories, because it already has the Spanish language by default. The pros and cons that Brilliant directories has been for me and why it was a headache for me not to have used it sooner: Pros: You avoid a lot of effort. Short learning curve. Basic tutorials to get you started clear + fast. If you don't have knowledge of codes and all that, this is your best buy. The support team is fast and effective. You'll save yourself time. (Which is sometimes what we have the least, and it's time you can dedicate to other projects). Cons It's not cheap. (Nor do the most exclusive, sporty, safe and luxurious cars in the world). However, for me, it's worth every penny I spent. If you are an entrepreneur and you are starting out and you do not have many resources, I suggest that you save and invest in it.

BD support is quick and top-notch, and I've enjoyed exploring all the incredible features and add-ons of this product. It's an incredibly flexible and powerful directory system, with built in monetization and mapping, and I have great peace of mind using a SaaS product that comes with hosting and support, rather than building it myself, which I've tried.

When I first read a review about Brilliant Directories being described as a "business in a box," I was intrigued enough to try it out. After exploring the platform, I can confidently say it lives up to that reputation. In fact I would give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Its all-inclusive features—membership management, recurring payments, content publishing, design options, banner ad management, email marketing, and SEO tools—form a complete toolkit ready for immediate use, saving me valuable time and effort. The platform's monetization capabilities will open up significant revenue opportunities for any business. Despite not being tech-savvy, I found it super user-friendly thanks to comprehensive guides, videos, and an excellent support team. The co-founder and CEO Jason always has his Wednesday webinars on YouTube where he gives out all these great tips and business advice on how to make the most out of your business on Brilliant Directories. Their Facebook group is also super supportive and is an invaluable resource. Brilliant Directories is jam packed with features and as about as turn-key you can get for an online business. There's a reason why their Facebook group members are so passionate about Brilliant Directories. They also integrate with Zapier so you can integrate your BD account with your favorite saas products. I have used a lot of saas products before where I am left guessing half the time on how to use that particular software due to lack of instructions and poor documentation. Brilliant Directories has by far the most documentation and best support of any saas product that I have ever used. If you are thinking about using Brilliant Directories I say try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Great No Code solution for CMS and Directories websites. I love the way it handles billing for customers too. It has great SEO Score and great pagespeed scores too. I really w’recommend this tool
Brilliant, quite literally.
So far I love it. The customer service is also very swift and sagacious, which is always good. If you are looking for a singular solution that saves you so much time, and money, with so many integrated facets (actually going to update this review when I have a more comprehensive understanding and experience of them all as there are lots! It may end up being five stars), you really can't go wrong with this all in one package, they have thought of seemingly everything. It's exciting considering the possibilities!
Good for the “non technical” entrepreneur
This software is so much easier to use than the other ones I tried, and priced more reasonably. Love the lifetime option.
It's not you (BD,) it's me.
Initially, I felt overwhelmed with all the tasks needed to make this work. However, as I continue to use the platform, I realize it's not as bad as I first thought. This is because the support and training is really great. I'm starting to understand the steps I need to take to get my website up and running by going through the training modules. I will have to polish it later and just focus on the basics, so it's up and running instead of complete and perfect. This is my personal reflection and not a problem of Brilliant Directories. Their training is very thorough and detailed. All you need to do is follow it and take notes. As far as the platform, it's everything you need to make so many different types of sites. Choosing the best type of website can be challenging if you're unsure of what you want to create. Deciding between different types of sites was difficult for me because the templates offer a wide range of choices to create various kinds of sites. Not a bad thing, I know... If I had anything bad to say and the reason I gave it 4 stars is the fact that they want to upsell you more bandwidth, storage space, member count, etc... I get the fact that they need to make money too to keep the site up and running, but the increments that it goes up by is a bit weird. That being said, I don't need to upgrade yet and when it comes time to do so, the site will be making the money to make it easy to afford.
Best alternative to WP plugin…

Excellently straightforward
Brilliant Directories is excellently straightforward. I'm building my directory site now and it's been faster than expected. All features I've hoped for, both basic and custom, have already been thought of and well executed as features or add-ons available. Plus, the regular BD Wednesday Webinar provides great live education, product updates, and community engagers to see how BD owners are building their sites and finding quick solutions. 5 stars hands down.

Immediately upgraded to higher Tier after testing the app
I started purchasing Tier-3 to test it out. I was impressed on how easy to navigate the app. In terms of documentations, they have a massive number of videos and webinars and tutorials available on their YouTube channel that will guide you build your website, and will also guide you to maximize the full potential of your website in acquiring members. The support sytem is also fantastic. I always get response from them on time. After testing the app, I immediately upgraded to higher Tier.
Easiest solution to build a membership site... hands down!
I've been planning to build a membership site, but was always put off by the learning curve. That's when I discovered Brilliant Directories on AppSumo. It is really "brilliant" for its user-friendly interface, extensive features, and excellent support. It practically has everything I need. There are somewhat limited customization options. But that's just me being a perfectionist.
