From first inquiry to questions afterward, Blackwater Aquatics has been an amazing company to work with. They helped me pick the right species of fish, chose the perfect weather window to ship, and the fish arrived healthy and feisty! I will absolutely be working with them again in the future and recommending them to anyone interested in wild betta species.
I waited a long time for the Betta Mahachai Grey to come back into stock, and I am delighted with my purchase! The fish I ordered shipped in a timely manner and arrived snugly packed with a heat pack that was still warm the day after delivery. The new fish is very healthy and active, and doing very well in his new home. Highly recommend ordering fish from Blackwater Aquatics.
Ordered twice and had a good experience both times. All of the fish were healthy and customer service was good
Fish quality is great also packing is amazing
I had an excellent experience. Shipped quickly - little bubs arrived in great condition and a week later they're happy and healthy as can be. This is the second time I've ordered fish from BW.
Great company. Very helpful communication. Rich specifically helped me understand the whole process as it was my first time receiving a fish in the mail. I received it today, and although stressed, he perked right back up is now happy and healthy in my tank. Great quality too. I would absolutely order from this company again.
I ordered a "LP" premium quality wild Betta antuta from BWAquatics and had a great experience. I chose UPS Next Day Air, and the fish arrived quickly, healthy, and very well packaged with RFID tracking. The betta was exactly as described; true to quality, full of personality, and settled in quickly with noticeable color and activity improvements. It’s clear the fish was well cared for. I would confidently recommend BWAquatics to anyone looking for high-quality wild bettas.
Customer service and product is amazing. However checking out on the website was a real chore for reasons me and customer service couldn't really figure out. I mean I managed to get the order in and the staff was very helpful. It was just an extra hassle I probably wouldn't have dealt with if I knew anywhere else to get these fish of this quality.
My two bettas showed up looking fantastic. I will definitely be a repeat customer!
They were very fast at responding when I emailed them with a question. They were polite as well. The fish came in good condition and are doing great! Thank you very much!
Half of Rasboras died. Bags were smaller than any other shipper I have never seen so little water used. Water was also yellow. First time ordering Beta online. Very small bags and about 3 ounces of water. Don't know why but recieved shipping notification the day after they arrived. I like to be home when fish arrive so not knowing meant the fish sat on the porch for a few hours.
Everyone arrived quickly and healthy. Thank you!
Beautiful healthy fish and packaged really well. Would definitely purchase from BW Aquatics in the future. Great job! Very pleased.
I ordered it on 12/12/2025 and paid 50$+ for overnight shipping and still no signs of shipping yet
Appreciate the local pickup and excellent quality of the fish. All are doing well.
Shipping was delayed due to cold weather but the fish arrived promptly once they were finally sent. Both fish I ordered arrived in good condition and have since colored up wonderfully. Solid experience, can't recommend these guys enough if you want to try your hands at these kinds of rare and unique fish.
Great fish and perfect shipping! Arrived at the perfect temperature and everyone was healthy!
Bettas came in super great shape and shipping quality was great. Even though I brought my package in as soon as it came, I can tell this package could’ve lasted a bit longer with the super warm heat pack provided with my shipping. Definitely recommend getting bettas from BW aquatics.
I've ordered from Blackwater Aquatics multiple times now. Every order is carefully packaged, and the fish are always healthy and happy upon arrival. They have a great selection of beautiful fish! I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
