Free 2D CAD with promising AI automation
CADCraft is a free, open-source 2D CAD application built in Rust for precise drafting and technical documentation. It supports DWG and DXF workflows, exports to PDF, SVG, and PNG, and exposes MCP, JSON, and CLI controls for AI-assisted automation. It is still in active development, but the no-subscription workflow and automation support make it worth exploring for architects, engineers, students, makers, and technical designers.
