CAREERBUILDERS IS A SCAM

This is literally the worst site ever. I tried applying for a job listing through Careerbuilders and they asked for my information before I could apply. Now I don't stop getting scam job listings and phishing emails and text messages.

Getting a lot of solicitations for call…

Getting a lot of solicitations for call center jobs, which is not at all what I am looking for. It seems that very few good jobs are listed on this site. I will be looking elsewhere.

Career builder did not help me

Career builder did not help me, while I was looking for a job. I did find one on my own I am in the IT field, which i clearly explained that to career builder, but yet in their wisdom, they sent me emails with with the subjecy Insurance salesman...what kind of inept bulls** is that?

Poor Applicant Results

We have used other job posting services for many years and wanted to give CareerBuilder a try. Very disappointed as an employer. We received more than 150 resumes in 2 weeks and not a single candidate met our qualifications, not sure how this was even possible!

Total Scam, Breach GDPR

Total scammers, harassing emails every day, requested full data deletion which they confirmed had been done, yet am still receiving daily emails - will be filing a complaint with the ICO

I had to delete my account after months…

I had to delete my account after months of having it up. I feel uncomfortable knowing my resume was up to the public through there for so long. I get texts constantly about jobs but no one can ever really respond what they are about. Having my number and email out there through a site like this was stupid.

I'm not a guy who leaves reviews often but... wow

I'm not a guy who leaves reviews often, but WOW. As a software developer finishing up his bachelor's in 5 months (I have a few years of dev experience as well) I have been receiving emails left and right. I was preparing to get jobs for when I graduate but people want you Now. If you have the skills, they will pick them out of your resume. I don't even want to work in mobile but I've worked in it for a few years so recruiters are seeking me out in that field frequently. I never would have thought it would be this prosperous but CareerBuilder made it happen. I owe my career start to this company.

Stay far far far away

If I could give career builder zero stars they would have negative stars. I’m disgusted with this site. Within minutes of setting up my account I started getting spammed. The many times I asked these scammers to message me directly through careerbuilder they claimed not to know how. So I started blocking them, then the ID10Ts started sending me emails from gmail accounts. There is a special place in hell for these people and I hope they find their way there soon!

Mostly Scam Jobs Posted

All of the 'jobs' that are offered to me are for shell companies, MLM, scam companies. CareerBuilders doesn't even have true customer support to complain to or fix this issue. I think they just like to collect the fees to post these fake jobs. This is a waste of my time and talent. I'm closing down my account with them.

Stay far away from Event Pop Inc.

I went to work for Event Pop Inc. They found my resume on Career Builders. Stay far away from this company. I done everything asked of me and more. Even got MVP on my 3rd day. This company has only paid me half of what i'm owed. They sign up new customers for Xfinity. They have yet to pay me for any new sign ups and took Maryland state taxes out of what I was paid and i'm in Indiana. The owner has stop replying to me. If they find your resume beware. You don't get breaks and only 15-20 minute lunch breaks

Ignore the phony positive reviews

All of the positive reviews on here are bogus. careerbuilder is a scam site; they kept sending me fake job posts and they wasted my time. I had to block them to get them to stop sending me scam job postings. God knows what they did with my resume and information.

BEWARE-DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION

I made the mistake of sending my resume in response to a position as a Senior Project Manager. I was flooded with spam, scams and junk mail Within minutes of giving them your contact information...you are tossed into a nasty cesspool -which they call a network- of con-artists trying to trick you into believing they have an opportunity for you..only turns out to be scam. Are you a professional? They don't care...they will connect you with companies looking for third shift warehouse stockers. I honestly believe this company should have its doors locked and it's employees sent to jail. They are a disgusting example of greed during a pandemic. Shame On You Career Builder.

This is a true scam website and…

This is a true scam website and service. I made the mistake up uploading my resume and making an account, and now get like 10 emails/texts a day, and random phone calls. They have an automated system and read from an obvious script if you end up talking with them. A total joke. Avoid this service at all costs.

Never open an account at careerbuilder

As soon as you have an account you will be deluged by fake jobs text emails and phone calls. Just try to close your account forget it it won’t happen it only gets worse after that. CareerBuilder puts a boo-hoo feel sorry for us because we have been hit by scammers yet trying to find their customer service contact information. CareerBuilder customer service contact information does not exist. Today I tried to close my account and it said oops sorry there’s an error try again later You will never be able to get your information off this website and you will be plagued until you die from the scammers or whoever they sell your info to

Careerbuilder is a huge waste of time

Careerbuilder is a huge waste of time. a lot of their information is almost 10 years old and still posted on their website. I had an account with them 5 years ago and they still have my resume posted even though I deleted my account and all of my information. I continue to get calls and emails from people who have seen my resume on their site.

Use Caution with CareerBuilder's Resume Database

CareerBuilder.com was a superior database -10 years ago - but today they leave MUCH to be desired. I use ZipRecruiter as my primary sourcing site but the position that I seek to fill is so specific that an additional sourcing platform is needed. I decided to try Career Builder so 2 weeks ago I signed up as a recruiter/employer, I paid my $300 for month-to-month access to their Resume Database. They were quick to bill my credit card- Great! I logged in - Great! I did what I signed up do for about 3 days - and then.....POOF! My access ceased to exist! I get as far as a webpage that says the site is "temporarily" down. I have made dozens of attempts to reach someone - anyone - but have yet to be given a reasonable explanation. Their years of great service are long-gone but I still had hoped they could be utilized as a valuable option in the marketplace for employers..... they are not!! The only option left is to call Visa to file a claim and request my funds be reversed.
