I had a little trouble getting the connection to work at first. I wish there had been more detailed instructions explaining that I should first access and set up the eSIM somewhere with Wi-Fi, as well as how to configure the settings on my phone.
We used the eSIM for a road trip in the UK and surprisingly it worked quite well in the country side but not so well in London itself, which was disappointing
The connection is very faible or inexistent at 20 km of Trivandrum. I am afraid that, up till now, the provided eSim is a useles purchase, at least outside big points as large towns and airports.
The installation and activation of the eSIM was quick and easy. I used the service in the metropolitan Tokyo area and did not have any service, connectivity or data speed issues.
Process of activate the eSIM was simple and easy. Speed was good enough. Tried to share my unlimited date with my son, but it was slow and connection was poor. I bought new eSIM for my son. Overall it was really good eSIM to use.
Could not get it to work, tried everything they told me to try. Was already in country so I had to go with the more expensive plan from my phone provider. I asked for a refund and they ghosted me.
This time I bought unlimited data plan for Europe and using it in Bulgaria and Greece. For Bulgaria, it was ok, for Greece, it simply is not working, even in major places like Corinth and its surroundings. Unfortunately, my main target was Greece, since I was only transiting Bulgaria. It is so bad in Greece, that I am buying another eSim from local Cosmote operator in order to have some data plan.
Traveled to UK and EU from USA for a few days for Tomorrowland. My regular USA carrier is T-Mobile that includes ‘256KB data abroad’ - it is definitely nice to have, but just not fast enough nowadays. Nope, did NOT want to pay T-Mobile the draconian rates for 15GB or 30GB ‘fast pass’ they offered. Then, I remembered about the great company I used while in Japan (3 years prior) called Ubigi! (Ubigi is owned by NTT DoCoMo, a very reputable Japanese company, which gives it coverage advantages across rural areas and transport lines) The reason I chose Ubigi was that they are known to use *premium partners* to achieve better network performance! Sure enough Ubigi had “7 days Unlimited” plan for EUROPE! While standing in line before passport control in Brussels, I purchased the plan, installed the eSIM using instructions provided in the email, and had data plan up and running - all in less than 5 minutes! Loved it! ‘Personal hotspot’ (tethering) worked flawlessly as well!!!
