Forced to Pay More After Booking
I booked three tickets for Sep 2 for an agreed total price. After receiving my booking, CheapFareMart called and said the original itinerary would cost approximately $800 more. They offered to move the flight to sept 1, but still demanded approximately $450 more. When I asked to cancel because they would not honor the original date and price, I was told that cancellation penalties would apply. I felt forced to accept the Sept 1 flight and higher price because airfare was increasing and my credit card limit did not allow me to purchase replacement tickets while waiting for a dispute or refund. This was an extremely stressful experience. A customer should not complete a booking at one price and then be pressured by phone to pay substantially more, accept a different travel date, or face cancellation fees. I have retained the booking records and call documentation. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
