Help with order modification

I ordered 2 parts (starter motor and the solenoid) and they both arrived quickly and worked. They look to be well made. I would have given 5 stars except as soon as I had ordered the starter motor I decided I should get the solenoid as well. I wanted them on the same order because the starter qualified me for free shipping but the solenoid alone did not. I phoned your representative minutes after placing the starter motor order, but he was unable to either add the solenoid to that order or even cancel the order so I could start over. I ended up having to place a separate order for the solenoid and paying shipping for it. Your representatives should be able to provide better help to modify orders.

Alternator Installation Issues

This alternator is not a direct replacement. 1. The original alternator has a captive nut where it attaches to the oil filter housing. This alternator does not, so my bolt is too short to add a nut. Another delay as I had to buy a longer bolt (10 x 1.5 x 140) 2. The original alternator does not have air ducting, this one does. 3. The leads on this alternator are not in the same place as the original, I had to move the wiring harness. 4. This alternator is considerably larger in diameter than the original. For it to fit on the engine they had to move the mount out about 20mm. The result of this is that the belt is too short. In trying to install the belt I stripped the threads out of the tensioner. 5. The bottom line is that I had to buy a 6PK-1575 belt ($30) to replace the new 6PK-1555 original, a new tensioner ($60), and lower mounting bolt ($5), and several hours figuring this out, driving around Austin finding parts, and writing this review.
