About this business

Discover Books was launched based on the fundamental belief that used books have value and should never go to waste. Prior to our founding, many of our staff worked in the thrift industry where we saw millions of books being sent to landfills each year. With each discarded book, we thought of the imagination, magic, and knowledge lost forever to a garbage heap and we endeavored to find a better way.We think books should achieve their greatest possible purpose: Whether purchased by another reader, donated to help a child acquire the lifelong skill of literacy, or recycled as a new product, it has a story to tell. We let stories live on.

Sticker book with no stickers?

I ordered a sticker book for my daughter to to find all of the pages completed with the stickers.

I am very disappointed

I am very disappointed! I searched for bilingual kids' books on abebooks, and specified Spanish (so I wouldn't get Urdu or German, which exist too). . Discover Books posted "Ada MagnÃfica y los pantalones peligrosos / Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants (Los Preguntones / The Questioners) (Spanish Edition)" and I read the review of the book on a kids' book site, and decided it was just right for a niece who is starting a Spanish immersion kindergarten. The book came quickly -- but it is Spanish only! I have no idea why they listed it in as both, but it doesn't reflect the truth at all. Returnng it would cost about what I paid, so, I will donate it to an organization that gives out books, so a Spanish family can get it. I sure wouldn't ever buy from them again!

Best price and best experience

My wife mention this that she was interested in a book - an older title. I entered it into google and up came discover books.com with the best price and free shipping. Really it was such a great price that there was no thought in hitting the purchase button. The gently used book came in amazing condition and the whole thing was a positive from the beginning to the end and now we have this great book on top of the positive experience.

Stumbled Upon The Gem and Have Zero Regrets

Lost my original book I bought as a kid in 1970. Finding a copy in decent condition, and for a really good price, was great. Quick service, as well.
