I would strongly recommend avoiding…
I would strongly recommend avoiding this Fragrance Outlet location. My wife and I went in to purchase two fragrances, and the entire experience left us feeling misled.
The sales associate recommended one of the perfumes but did not clearly tell us its price. I specifically asked about the prices more than once, yet she only clearly mentioned the discounted price associated with one of the fragrances. I didn’t press the issue at the register because I assumed that if there was a problem with the pricing, I would simply be able to return the item.
After reviewing the receipt, my wife noticed that the discount had been applied to the less expensive fragrance, which made the promotion far less valuable than we had understood it to be. Between the lack of transparency about the individual prices and how the discount was applied, the transaction did not feel straightforward. We immediately returned to the store and asked to return the item. That was when we were told that they do not provide refunds and would only allow an exchange. I asked where this policy was posted or disclosed to us before we made the purchase. Instead of showing us a clearly posted policy, we were told to “read the receipt.” This goes against Virginia Code § 59.1-200(A)(16)(a).
That is exactly the problem: the receipt is provided after the transaction has already taken place. A restrictive return policy should be clearly communicated to customers before they pay, especially when employees are actively recommending products and discussing discounts. I left feeling that important information about the price, promotion, and return policy was not communicated transparently. Whether intentional or not, it created an experience that felt unfair and misleading. I would advise anyone shopping here to ask for the exact price of every item, confirm exactly how any promotion will be applied, and ask to see the return/refund policy before paying.
Based on my experience, I would not shop at this location again.
JT helped us, they were very busy when we came in, he patiently helped the people ahead of us try many different scents, and then helped me with some recommendations based on things I like in a fragrance and I left with two I really like. He was awesome, and so was the lady he was working with though I didn’t catch her name

The young lady who helped us was awesome and very knowledgeable about their products.
The lady that took care of me was patient with me in my purchase as I was deciding on the fragrance I wanted and told me about the account set up to have point and stuff for future purchases

When I went into this location I already knew what I was looking for and they had the perfume in stock.. The customer service woman I dealt with was very nice. I will definitely be back
The staff was awesome and relational, they were very knowledgeable and helped me get the fragrances I wanted at the best price but it was also clear they weren’t trying to get me to spend a lot of money that were focused on helping me get what I wanted, the got to know me and I got to know them which made it fun too, 10 out of 10 experience both visits, also the sales were awesome I am new to cologne and I am starting my collection that was very helpful.
I enjoyed interacting with the black sales lady. She was very knowledgeable of the different fragrances and so nice and patient with us. I spent over $400 on August 6, 2026 in Mrytle Beach at the Tanger Mall Fragrance Outlet store. I am from Lumberton, NC.
