I purchased a mini Bernadoodle a little over a year ago from a breeder in California. Woman was supposed to be a vet by trade. Gave me the wrong vaccination schedule, didn't remove dew claws. Supposed to be socialized, he was so afraid of people it was horrible. I have spent around $2200 on training and have a 1 year old dog on prozac. Do I love him, yes. Do I recommend Good Dog, no.

I’m a breeder on Good Dog and I love this platform. They truly care about dogs!! Their policies are strict and protect the health of dogs. They also support breeders and educate us to do the best we can do.

my mini poodle is white and apricot. her dad was a toy and her mom was a standard, so she is a mini. i am a dog groomer, so i know a well bred dog when i see one. the only thing id change is she still has all 4 dew claws. she is a typical poodle in temperament, she loves to play with people and other dogs.

Good Dog's support is outstanding
Good Dog's support and website helped my place my dogs in great homes. It was so easy and I was guided through each step. The support is very helpful and I was able to speak to a live person. All of my 9 puppies were placed in homes within a week. I previously used another site and while the puppies always got placed, it took longer and I did not feel supported or that I could get help. I will use this site from now on.

am a preservation breeder who uses…
am a preservation breeder who uses gooddog. I hate it. But its the only site that people are using..they take a 6.5% cut from payment, so on a 2,000 pup, they take $130. EVERY SINGLE PUPPY. That's extremely high. Then they hit my CLIENTS for another 3% average. I breed fully OFA health tested champion parents and yes, I must post the test results for each parent. They have now gone to AI on their communications between clients and breeders. So when you or I click to call each other, the call is filtered through a call relay center. My call doesn't show my number on your caller ID. Your number shows an Indiana phone number on my caller ID. The call center is from Indiana. Why? Because if you communicate off their site, the clients will offer to pay cash. Not go through the payment system and they don't get to gouge the breeder. So if they make it to where you don't know each other's numbers, you're stuck. I wouldn't be surprised if the AI call center is programed to pick up buzz words, and gooddog notified on calls where cash is discussed and alternative phone numbers are given. Then they drop your exposure rate to 50%..I do know they monitor your messages.. When I first signed up, they heavily emphasized that BREEDERS NEVER PAY A FEE.. So now they got us, and 2 years ago, started the 6.5% fee..an ad on AKC Marketplace is $45 to advertise the entire litter. Legitimate breeders like myself are furious, the BYB and puppy mills don't care because they're selling puppies.they just mass produce more puppies to make up for it. AKC marketplace is full of foreign scammers so the buyers are scared to use it. Same with puppies.com . BYB paradise. . Luckily 2/3 of my puppies sell through private referals so I only have to sell a few on gooddog, I write the fees off my taxes.. I've been breeding my chosen breed since 2004. I'm probably going to stop breeding soon because of this nonsense..

I have been on Good Dog for a while now and I have sold many puppies on there. I like how trust is built between the buyer and the breeder by having a platform like Good Dog.
Good for Reaching Several Areas
The Good Dog platform allows me to list my litters so I can get the most out of my connections with families from many different areas. They protect not only me in the payment process but also the family looking to adopt a puppy. The staff have been very helpful when I've needed to contact them. I have just realized that not only do they charge me a fee for selling but the buyer is charged an extra fee that I don't feel is completely necessary. As it is pricing needs to be adjusted for fees deducted and then that makes the fees higher for the buyer.

Good Dog is fantastic!
As a novice breeder, I thank God I found Good Dog. I started using Good Dog from my second litter. They helped me personally in setting up my litter pages, but their website is very user friendly. A lot of my puppies found excellent homes through Good Dog, which is the most important thing to me. The team members would response to questions I may have. I would recommend Good Dog to a breeder and to a puppy buyer because they are fantastic.
