The analogies made the concepts both visual and memorable. The practice activities were thoughtfully designed to simulate real learning situations and hands-on experience. Our Agile Leader course instructor was very knowledgeable and provided numerous personal experiences and add-on reading options to support the material that was covered.
Too gimmicky, not enough learning
This training could have been half as long and still contained the same amount of information. I appreciated the trainer's efforts to make online learning engaging but way too much time was spent on gimmicks (like "winning" prizes) and messing around with online whiteboards, so we never got the chance to go in-depth with topics even when there was interest. And so many analogies/metaphors!

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP-PO) course led by Arlen Bankston, and I cannot recommend this training highly enough. Arlen's teaching style is truly engaging and high-energy, making what could have been a complex and technical topic feel accessible and practical. The class was not only well-structured but also interactive, with thoughtful discussions and breakout sessions that kept everyone actively involved. His use of AI in product management examples added a modern, forward-thinking dimension to the learning experience. Arlen’s ability to connect product ownership with strategic concepts such as prioritization, stakeholder empathy, and transparent negotiation was incredibly valuable. He fostered an environment where we could explore the full loop of planning, execution, and adaptation in product ownership with clarity and depth. I especially appreciated his emphasis on the importance of understanding context and moving away from issuing orders to facilitating transparent negotiation. Thanks to Arlen, I feel much more equipped to approach product ownership with a strategic mindset and am heading into 2026 with a sharper focus on product leadership. I highly recommend Arlen as an instructor for anyone looking to level up their product ownership skills. This course was both practical and impactful, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from such an expert.

Don Patti is an excellent, engaging, likeable, and fun instructor. Class content was well structured and presented, with interactive content to demonstrate and cement the information. Engaging and Insightful Course for Becoming a Scrum Master
The instructor had great energy, was well prepared, and had expert knowledge of the subject matter. He used multiple modalities to help learners understand the concepts, and was very willing to use different approaches if someone in the class wasn't fully understanding the content. The class was 8 participants, which allowed for a lot of interaction and practical application of the material. After the course, I feel well prepared to serve as a Scrum Master and pass the exam. I fully recommending Grow-Lean and Don Patti to anyone wanting to become a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
