I take multiple guitar lessons with Barry online per week and am progressing quickly.
I take guitar lessons with Barry online multiple times per week. What I like most about it is that it feels like hanging out with a friend and playing guitar together and getting better.
Barry does a great job of blending technology with teaching skill to make it feel as close to in the room together as possible. He is very adaptable to whatever kind of music you like. And he can quickly reverse engineer any song to give you a version you can play right away.
I highly recommend working with Barry.

Brillant Guitar lessons
I’ve been learning guitar for about six years. A friend of mine went to Barry and recommended I give him a try, and honestly, it was the best decision I could have made.
Before Barry, I had two teachers come to my house to try and teach me, and they were useless. I’ve experienced this a lot growing up — I had many teachers, not just for guitar but in general, who simply didn’t know how to teach.
I started lessons with Barry six weeks ago, and already I’m strumming a song I actually want to learn, and doing it properly. On top of that, I’m now playing the pentatonic scale along to blues backing tracks. I’m sitting here and I genuinely don’t want to put the guitar down.
Barry is an inspiration and a fantastic teacher. He really understands how to explain things in a way that makes sense. He’s also a genuinely nice guy to talk to and always takes the time to make sure you understand what you’re learning.
I’ve had plenty of bad teachers in school and outside of school — Barry gets it.
I don’t usually write reviews, but he absolutely deserves this one. Highly recommended.

one of a kind…
I've been learning to play the guitar for about fifteen months. I've had lessons from three different teachers at different times. I have to admit that Mr. Barry is the best in many ways; he's genuinely one of a kind.

Barry is an amazing guitar teacher
Barry is an amazing guitar teacher! patient, kind, and a talented musician. He explains things clearly and makes learning genuinely enjoyable. I’ve improved so much thanks to him. Highly recommend!
I had an upcoming audition for my high school house band, which accepted only the most musically expert of the musicians in my school. Feeling unprepared at first, Barry taught me everything I needed to know, from basic scales and chords to advanced theory skills and improvisation techniques. And in the end, I proudly earned the vocal and rhythm guitar spot. I was thankful that I could turn to Barry as I couldn’t have made it without his help and patience.
My son has been taking guitar and vocal lessons with Barry for about 4 years now. Barry is exceptionally great teacher, dedicated , patient and very talented with his guitar / vocal skills . He is courteous , great to work with. Highly recommend.

He’s much more than just a dedicated teacher; he’s a true musical mentor.
I have been taking guitar lessons with Barry for many years, and I simply can't recommend him highly enough. He’s much more than just a dedicated teacher; he’s a true musical mentor and an exceptional talent in his own right.
As an instructor, Barry is incredibly patient, perceptive, and highly effective. He has a remarkable ability to tailor his lessons perfectly, regardless of your skill level or musical interest. He doesn't just teach technique; he delves into the musical theory and practical application, helping you understand the why behind what you're playing. My progress under his guidance over the years has been transformative.
What truly sets Barry apart is that he is also a genuinely great musician. His deep knowledge across genres and his mastery of the instrument are constantly inspiring. Learning from someone who is so accomplished elevates every lesson and provides a level of insight that few teachers can match.
If you are looking for dedicated, high-level, and incredibly rewarding guitar instruction, Barry is the definitive choice. He’s an outstanding professional and a fantastic person to learn from.
