After five years and personal ups and downs the study of guitar has brought me to a place of some proficiency and fun playing and involving others. The VIP I purchased at the beginning has been one of my comforts and now even a little fun playing with others musicians .... They ask if I am a musician I said maybe becoming one which would not have happened without you. No one was giving secrets away like the GMM family and I cannot thank you enough!
This has been the best learning experience. The quality of the instructors who btw are professional musicians, their style of teaching turning complicated material which was new to many of us to incredibly simple concepts, their style andorderly step by step program to allow us to grow consistent with their teaching, the unbelievable affordability of this program, the pdf material available weekly to reinforce learning. The plans to expand in the future with live teaching in Nashville as well as continued improvement of the program with our input highly appreciated. I could go on for paragraphs how this program Charlie, Eddie, Mike and Lexi have developed in on the leading edge of guitar instruction. I first picked up the guitar in 1981 and never really got past the beginner stage. I joined GMM in 2020 and in the last 6 years have learned more than I did in the previous 40 and have blown past the intermediate level and am getting better every week. Charlie, Eddie, Mike and Lexi give you well thought out, easy to follow, easy to consume, lessons that will provide both the basic building blocks to be a competent player, as well as the tools needed to provide massive jumps in knowledge and skill over a relatively short period of time. Like anything else, you have to commit and put in the time, however, the GMM community allows you to post videos and keep tabs on your playing easily. Even if you only put in 15-30 minutes a day, you will get much, much better, fairly quickly. The more time you put in, the faster you can take off! Thanks to the GMM team for not only making me a better player, but for actually caring that everyone in the community gets better and reaches their goals.
GMM is probably the best guitar school on the planet. Great teaching of knowledge and skills, including how to learn. Being part of the community with such great teachers is inspring.
This is my 2nd review. I need to add this because The GMM product never stop improving their delivery. I've been with them 5 years and in each of those years they have continuously improved the content, quality, delivery of guitar instruction and education to the point where they now present a 2 hour live event every Sunday to augment the broad range of on-demand training available in the Members area. This event provides live access to 4 professional guitar players who present a class and answer questions during a world wide on line meeting. They also created a facebook community wherein you can interact with all the other members 24/7. Whether you just picked up a guitar for the first time or you've been play for 50 plus years, like me, this is the place to be. My understanding and playing ability has improved exponentially since joining GMM. Thank you Eddie and crew for what you do.
If only I had known about GMM early on I would be much further down the road, even though guitar playing is a lifetime journey. I have tried other methods, but nothing has made sense like GMM. The process, the mind set the practice that they convey has made me the guitar player I am today. I promise you, you will not find a better group, or should I say family to really understand how the fretboard is connected. I move up and down the fretboard now without thinking it just comes naturally. if you are serious, you should defiantly join the GMM family. if not...then don't bother.

Guitar Mastery Method is the best value in guitar instruction available anywhere. The courses are intense, and Charlie tells you at the outset if you get 60% to 70% of what is presented it will change your playing. I say you need to really internalize much less to experience a remarkable transformation as a player. I doubt I really own more 25% - 35% of the content of the 2026 M1 and M2 courses and my playing is forever changed. The lessons are easy to follow and do, the support materials are specific, thorough and effective, and depth of interaction with the community of players including instructors and students all around the world is fun and exciting and profoundly informative. The value provided is incredible. The volume of essential guitar knowledge to be gained while having this much fun for the amount it costs makes the money almost irrelevant. If you want to level up your playing, and you're willing to do the work, Guitar Mastery Method will get you to playing how you want no matter what that means. Obviously, you gotta do the work, but you will be done wasting time and will be working on the exact skills and knowledge you crave. There are other excellent programs you can choose, but none are this excellent.

I have been a member of GMM for several years, it has been the best learning experience in regard to my guitar playing and my music knowledge, that I have ever experienced. It has allowed me to play the guitar with so much more ease and knowledge, switching from rhythm to lead in any key and play solos all over the neck. It has also created a huge improvement in my song writing.
What made my experience great was the quality of the instructors that are professional musicians, the methods they used to motivate and teach us, the structure and the content of the courses and the live sessions, the private Facebook Group etc. What the company is doing well is the teaching, the coaching, the motivation, the support, the process. the commitment. For less that 50 US cents a day, world wide touring musicians teaching us is just incredible. It is available 24 hours a day. That is not me spending money, that is investing in myself.
GMM has built a system to teach guitar in way I have not experienced in my 60 year of playing. The instructors are pro's and best yet, real people that actually care about what they are doing. I have been a member for 3 years and watched GMM grow and get better and bring more to the table. If your looking for a place to learn guitar, give Guitar Mastery Method a try. You have nothing to loose except time, if your not learning from GMM.
Generally, I have had great experiences with this company. Their programs do a great job of simplifying learning the guitar, which helps build knowledge and confidence in my guitar playing abilities. For the most part, the instructions are simple enough to understand what is being taught without throwing too much information at you at once. I think the staff and instructors at GMM are exceptionally good at giving easy to understand instructions and advice on how to practice to better learn the concepts being taught. The instructors are professional guitar players that apply their knowledge with patience and an ability to make learning easier and more fun. GMM also has created a supportive community environment with other students at all levels of ability that share their support and suggestions, or answers, to questions and frustrations. The reason I didn't give a 5 out of 5 rating, is because I felt that the courses are focused too heavily on soloing techniques and not enough on foundational instruction on basic chords, strumming techniques and rhythm, which in my opinion is very important to being able to play guitar such that I, and others listening or playing along, can enjoy. Overall, the GMM value for the money spent was well worth the price!
I spent approx 20 yrs frustrating myself, thinking I could truly learn the guitar via tab books and "how to" books/websites. It wasn't until I found GMM that I truly began to understand the questions that needed to be answered to play freely with skill and feelings. I've got a library of how to's and tab books...You simply can't scale and be free if you are dependent on regurgitating tabs. No person can remember every nuance. I didn't want to need books or my Ipad to play anything...I wanted to play everything at will. GMM is the only program on the market I've found to give you the true gift of being a guitarist.
Everything about GMM has been great. There are so many courses available that it can get overwhelming but if you are patient with yourself and do the work you will be amazed at what you will learn. Having the ability to replay the lessons as many times as you like helps if you are having trouble, and the community is beyond compare. Everyone is supportive and there is no negativity. The instructors great and don't act like they are above you, they truly seem to want to help. Cheers for Eddie, Mike, Lexi, Charlie, and others who have been there previously.
What I've learned in WEEKS, I struggled to learn in decades with other systems. The VIP Club is far less expensive than all the money I've spent with other lessons and instructors. But the results are phenomenal. I still can't believe that I'm playing guitar at a level I'd only assumed the prodigies were capable of. Now I can SEE the music before I even pick up the guitar. The instructors really care about your progress, And the community is right there with you along the way. If you're really serious about learning to play guitar, this is the absolute best path to take, And it's the best way I know how to justify collecting all the guitars that have collected dust over the years. My wife doesn't complain when I buy another guitar anymore.
GMM is well worth the investment.. If you want to play guitar and are serious about learning, no matter your genre, this is the place to go. What is really important here is that you're learning. Not just. One methodology or a single set of something? Or how to do a lick. You know, all that stuff is in there. What you're learning is how to think like a musician. And once you're there, and you start that process. You start being able to apply to cross all. Genres that you make plans. My personal. An example is that I play with a church phrase band. And. There's not much shredding. There's not a lot of. Heavy guitar. But there is. The understanding of music there is the arpeggios, and there is the concept of chord changes. It's about being able to work with the Nashville number system, changing on the fly, and understanding aspects of what you're doing that go beyond just strumming or playing guitar. You actually become a guitar player, and you call yourself a musician,
Guitar Mastery Method (GMM) has made me an entirely different guitar player. I have been playing guitar for 50 years and I was just stuck and frustrated. I have taken multiple in person and on line guitar classes and was just overwhelmed. I didn't understand the diatonic scale, the CAGED sytem, the Nashville Number System and the modes were a foreign language. These instructors have such a wealth of knowledge but the way they share it is fun and easy to understand. I had several lightening bolt moments where I couldn't believe how easy it was and wondered why no one ever taught it this way before. The community is also great. I highly advise signing up for the VIP lessons and you can replay them anytime which I have. But you have to put in the time too. The group is helpful and never judgemental. It's just been a great and productive experience. And people have noticed the difference in my playing in a fairly short time. I typically do not write reviews but felt strongly that this one was worth it. If you're on the fence, just do it! Try it! GMM makes this easy and fun! And they care. It has truly changed my life as a musicican!
