I have been a GMM member for around 5-6 years with roughly 4 of that being a part of their VIP Elite (one-on-one teaching) program. I am thoroughly pleased with the product I have been receiving! Their current "EMA" program is exactly what I've been looking for in terms of a laid out teaching plan that not only helps your guitar playing but also aids in learning the theory behind it. I also like the fact they are willing to work with any student, no matter where you are in your guitar journey and they have always been very responsive with any issues I've had questions about. Don't expect to learn everything and turn into EVH overnight but trust the process and watch yourself grow as a guitarist! I get way more out of GMM than any 30 minute lessons at an in-person school!

Most lessons are accompanied by PDF material in which everything is explained in detail. The live sessions also bring so much useful information that you sometimes need to watch the videos multiple times. And that is only talking about the tip of the iceberg. For example, you can learn to play licks along with Lexy Rose. And Mike Baelde and Eddie Haddad also give excellent video lessons.The VIP subscription offers so much more and is highly recommended. Well, I was stuck as a player. I needed instruction and knowledge and didn’t have time to get to lessons from local guitar teachers. Then I came upon GuitarMasteryMethod. Joining changed everything for me as a player. The lessons are straightforward, Whether you are a beginner or seasoned player. The advantage of going to their website and reviewing or retaking courses or lessons is a huge perk. That’s a huge advantage because you can pick times that revolve around your schedule. There is no judgement on your playing, only encouragement and learning. I highly recommend GuitarMasteryMethod.
What really stands out to me is the personalities of the presenters and the top-notch technology they employ. you can tell they really enjoy what they are doing. using their method i quickly learned all 5 pentatonic patterns. i joined after seeing a Utube video by Eddie Haddad. decided to check them out. i liked the website and the offerings; quite a few offerings but not so many it is imposing or difficult to find a course you are interested in.
GMM has changed my guitar playing for life. I was a 30 yr open chord acoustic strummer that wanted to pick up the electric and play lead. I didn’t believe I had it in me. I am so grateful to have stumbled across their videos on YouTube. I am a year and half into my GMM experience and I can’t believe what I have accomplished through the expert guidance GMM and all the instructors provide. Guitar Mastery Method is all you need to master the guitar. I have been playing since 2004 (over 20 years). I started by focusing on Classical, I've had a handful of instructors, but nothing has compared to what I learned since becoming a VIP with Guitar Mastery Method. I have learned more about the fretboard, scales, playing music and actually understanding all of it. I am not just repeating what someone else wrote, I am applying it all to my own creativity in a way and at a level I have never been able to achieve with personal instructors. I found GMM in 2015 and purchased a small number of individual courses until 2020 when I became a VIP member, and am now a lifetime member. While I have played guitar since 10 years of age (self taught), I had no music theory nor view into what it takes to improve. GMM has filled these gaps well beyond expectations--it changed my life! The instructors are outstanding, bring skills and expertise along with real world experiences from the music industry. The community is also very positive...there is constant encouragement and insight from a global group of musicians. I highly recommend GMM for guitarists of any level--beginner to band veterans.
After playing for 60 years - Guitar mastery team has taught me why the tools I have work, and added new tools without any pain. Their methods are very simple to get the tools under your belt. GMM is the absolute best forum to learn the guitar!! I had my doubts when I was first considering joining GMM when I discovered it online several months ago. I AM SO GLAD I DID IT!! I cannot express how elated I’ve been since joining! It’s far exceeded my expectations and the forum that Charlie Wallace has created. The GLOBAL PARTICIPATION in GMM is the greatest endorsement of excellence & professionalism in this system! I was an absolute beginner @ the age of 64 when I joined, and that was in part why I had doubts about joining. Maybe I was too old? Everything would be over my head. I truly thought it would be a very mechanical, computer generated process where you would have to get it on your own so to speak. There would not be a way to ask questions, like when you have a “real instructor”, but I was going to give it a try. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! The hands on approach is far beyond what I anticipated. I had no idea there would be zoom meetings to enjoy the interaction with, not just an instructor, but multiple instructors, and the huge forum of other students from all over the globe. I had tried one other time to take guitar lessons from a great guitarist, but it was virtually impossible to always go every Tuesday @ 6:30PM 20 minutes away for a 1 hour lesson that I paid $30 a week (which was a very reasonable amount for a private lesson where I live in Texas. Not to mention, just because you can play very good, doesn’t mean you’re a good teacher. I could go on and on, but if you’re looking for a guitar teacher give GUITAR MASTERY METHOD a shot! You will not regret it! The only thing that will hold you back will be you! I attend all the live zoom meeting lessons that I can because IT’S THE BOMB! But if you have to miss, everything is recorded and you can review at whatever time, as many times as you want. If I have a personal question/request (and I have!), it’s no problem! They have a forum to send any question you need help on! Best advice….JOIN AS A VIP! Worth every penny! Charlie, I greatly appreciate all of the hard work you put in, and continue to put in every week! I’m very thankful for your help in achieving a lifelong dream of mine to learn to play the guitar. I have loved every minute of the GMM program. They have taught me volumes, so much so I joined as a lifetime member. I highly recommend this group to teach anyone how to improve their guitar skills. Unfortunately in this review we can’t respond to the negative reviews. You can’t expect to excel in this format unless you get off your ass and get totally involved. This isn’t something that instantly transforms you into a Hendricks, Clapton, or Lifeson. Each and everyone of these team members care about our progress. So if you don’t do the work, don’t complain about not improving. Thank you Charlie, Eddie, Lexi and Mike and the behind the scenes guy Andhe. You all are 🔥!!!!
This program totally over-delivers. Charlie, Mike, Eddie and Lexi obviously love what the do and put a ton of effort into the live sessions, recorded courses and pdf handouts for every lesson. I've been playing guitar for almost 50 years, and got to a certain level of decent competence playing songs, fingerpicking, knowing/playing barre chords, good sense of rhythm and such. I always found the fretboard and improvising/playing leads and solos to be a bit of a mystery. I could fudge my way around by ear and had some luck in a fairly limited way. After 9 months with GMM, I can move up and down the fretboard and always know where I am, combine chords and licks, play in all 7 modes both rhythm and leads, play with more feeling and emotion, use bends and vibrato, and a whole toolbox of other tricks. Every course is absolutely jam packed with information and resources. I joined as a lifetime member after a couple of months. I realized that what's already in their current library of recorded classes would keep me learning for life, and there are new classes every week! And the community is incredible. The instructors have fostered a great vibe, and the students are a source of inspiration and support for one another as well. I look forward to being part of the GMM community and learning for the rest of my life! Thanks GMM for doing what you do!
Superb organization and over-the-top content makes GMM the top guitar learning platform out there. This was one rich learning year for me and I had a load of fun as well. I was blinded by "lightbulb moments" in almost every lesson.
Amazing teaching but beyond that phenomenal support and making many years of struggle come together. Charlie Mike Lexi Eddie are amazing ! Worth every penny. I am sold on this system and teachers!
If you ever want to learn to play guitar - join th GMM community. Charlie, Lexi, Eddie and Mike are teaching in such a calm and understandable way, that even i, as a not native english speaker, can follow easily. The live calls make so much fun. The improvement i did since i joined GMM is enormous! And not to forget the facebook groups of Guitar Mastery Method. This is where my guitar family lives in.
I can't say enough about the whole team at GMM. I have learned more in the last several months with these guys than I have in the last 50 years. The VIP membership has been golden. The FB community that goes along with it is also super helpful. Wish I found this years ago. Steve H.

GMM helped me, inspired me, coached me, gifted me with making massive progress from being an advanced beginner for thirty years to becoming a real guitarist. The GMM community is so giving as well, lots of players like me all on a journey together. The GMM team care soooooo much about us students and make the sessions fun, challenging but achievable and always delivered with passion, inspiration and enthusiasm. This has been an awesome way to break out of the beginner mode way faster than I expected. All the learning materials are great too, lots of tricks, easy to remember tools, videos, backing tracks, printable notes and weekly online lessons that make me feel part of a fantastic community. Highly recommended for anyone that can play a bit but wants to get to a new level fast, with fun, fresh inspiration and enthusiasm.
This is the absolute premier guitar course! I have struggled with a lot of other lessons and not made much progress over the last 40 years. Charlie and the whole gmm team explain and teach in easy to understand language in manageable lesson lengths. They make it fun and you have a ton of different lessons to choose from that will meet your needs. I have learned more than I ever could have imagined over the last year! They have made me feel like a real guitar player and I am so excited to continue this path with the GMM community. I feel like we are a family supporting and learning as we go.
