As someone who is not a US citizen, I found the study material to be extremely and thoroughly clear from start to finish. The lessons make hard topics very easy to learn. If you study the material, you will pass your exam, no question! The tutors also give endless support whenever you need help. I am very happy and fully recommend this course to everyone!
Easy to use the site. Great format of lecture by a person, ability to read the script, and then the exam. As someone with zero electronics or radio knowledge, I was occasionally dazzled by terms that had not been discussed previously. There were even a few test questions that weren't presented until a chapter or two later. Glad there are online ham glossaries.
Hi Timothy, thank you for your 4-star review and for your thoughtful feedback! 📻 We're glad to hear you enjoyed the course format with the video lessons, written transcripts, and quizzes. We appreciate your comments as well. All of the topics and exam questions are covered in the course, although we know it's sometimes easy to miss a concept on the first pass. That's one of the reasons we've made it easy to revisit lessons, reread the material, and retake quizzes as many times as you'd like. Thank you for choosing Ham Radio Prep, and we wish you the very best as you continue your amateur radio journey! 73, and we hope to hear you on the air soon! 🚀📡
The course was very informative and specific to the needs of the individual. It took the time to clearly go over the specific needs of HAM radios and what is needed to make it all function.

Do I need a password to get back to the Tech study lessons from another computer? I leave my computer on sleep because I’m afraid to turn it off.
Hi Stanley! Yes, you’ll need to log in to your Ham Radio Prep account when using a different computer. You don’t need to keep your current computer on sleep—your course access and progress are saved to your account, not just that device. You can safely turn off your computer and log back in later from any device. If you have any trouble getting back in, please contact our support team at [email protected], and we’ll be happy to help.
Very good plane language good communication and great to understand
Thanks so much! 😊 We're glad you found the course easy to understand and appreciated the clear communication. Wishing you the very best on your ham radio journey. 73! 📡🎉
Don’t waste your time if you’re going for Extra. The teaches voice will put you to sleep and talk about other things not particularly relevant to learning what you need to pass your Extra exam. I would consider other options before sinking you money into this hole

HAM Radio Prep was vital for me to pass my technician exam. I had no prior experience or knowledge of the art of HAM radio and their course along with their practice quizzes and tests were a key factor for me to even try to get my license. They also give guidance on what to do after the test which is very helpful.

I just past my General exam last night. I used Ham Radio Prep as a major study tool. I have it on my phone, my iPad and I also purchased the Audible version to listen in my car and was Gifted the General class book. It is a fantastic learning tool. I like it because it provides enough information, so you better understand how and why things are done. I found out about it from Jason (KC5HWB) at Ham Radio 2.0 on YouTube. Plus, his vids will give an additional discount code. I Highly recommend it. I also use the affiliated WRL logbook. Join and use them you won't be sorry! Joe KC3VLN/AG

I really enjoy the training information, both written and video. The quizzes let you know right away if you really understood the training material to move on to the next level, or if you need to return to the beginning of the module and go through it again.
