Cheap, but US targeting wasn't reliable in my test
I tried the US residential proxies because they were the cheapest option I found. The price is good, but geo-targeting accuracy was a real problem in my test.
I opened 7 sessions with the location set to the United States. Only 4 actually exited in the US. The other 3 exited outside the US, which is nearly half of my sample.
All 3 wrong sessions came from the same network, AS216472. It didn't look like random mislabeling. It looked like IPs from that one network were tagged as US and mixed into the US pool.
To be fair, the 4 US sessions looked fine. They came from real residential and mobile ISPs (T-Mobile, Verizon, Charter and Wave), not datacenter IPs.
My sample was small, so this isn't a final verdict. But if accurate country targeting matters to you, test it carefully before you rely on it. In the end I decided it wasn't worth the extra hassle and moved on.
Pros: Low price; the IPs that were in the US were real residential or mobile ISPs.
Cons: About 3 in 7 US sessions exited outside the US, all through the same ASN.
I strongly advise staying away from IPDeep. This service is either run by people who don't understand basic networking or is a deliberate scam. Here is my experience:
Refusal to show samples: Before purchasing, I explicitly asked to see the IP address or a sample from the pool I was about to buy. They refused. Now I know why—they are hiding low-quality server infrastructure.
Product Mismatch (Location & Type): I paid for a "Native Dedicated ISP" in Virginia. Instead, I received IP 204.141.226.227.
Reality: This IP is physically located in Los Angeles, not Virginia.
Infrastructure: It belongs to NTT America (AS2914), which is a Tier-1 Backbone/Transit provider, NOT a consumer ISP.
Fraudulent Labels: I also bought a Dubai proxy (IP 151.243.42.197). Professional databases like IP2Location clearly flag both IPs as Usage Type: DCH (Data Center).
Incompetent Support: When confronted with technical proof, support tried to gaslight me using a basic tool (ping0.cc) as their "official standard." They either lack the professional knowledge to understand the difference between a backbone and a residential connection, or they are intentionally misrepresenting their product to steal money from customers paying via cryptocurrency.
Summary: They sell cheap datacenter transit lines under a "Native ISP" premium label. They refuse refunds and hide behind fake technical standards.
