I highly recommend April Patten to career changers or those looking to level up their resume, interview skills, and LinkedIn profile. I came to April to explore a career change and she was very patient as I regularly questioned my next path and when I would cancel or not follow through on homework. April gave me homework to look at job descriptions, rank my most desired employers, inventory skills I needed to improve and created a path toward those skill gains. April created a roadmap to career changing when it felt daunting. April created a smart and ATS friendly resume that regularly is getting looks and I am constantly job interviewing. April has great knowledge and tools and is the coach you need regain the confidence and drive to make your next career move.

I have been working with Elisha, and the impact she has had on my life is hard to fully put into words. Looking back, her greatest gift wasn't checking boxes on a job hunt; it was helping me recognize that the toxic and draining environment I had grown used to were no longer okay.
She looked at everything I had accomplished, held up a mirror, and reminded me of my own capacity. NOT A SCAM. ACTUALLY GREAT.
I was on the fence about signing up for Jobtest. I worried that it would turn out to be a scam and a waste of money. However, I was spinning my wheels so I decided to give it a try. I can honestly attest that Jobtest is NOT a scam and in my case it was worth every penny.
First, the customer service was shockingly good. When I had an issue, a Jobtest manager set up a Zoom meeting with me and PERSONALLY coordinated a fix. In the era of AI chatbots, when many companies don't offer human customer service AT ALL, Jobtest made me feel genuinely taken care of.
Second, my job coach Elisha Austin was a GODSEND. After months of fruitless job searching on my own I was in a rut and losing self confidence. Elisha listened, encouraged me, and tailored her advice to my situation and values. Her mentorship was direct and honest, but also warm. I am not joking when I say that Elisha helped me overcome a few LIFELONG psychological roadblocks. I feel so much more confident, and my self-esteem has never been healthier. She is extremely good at her job.
Third--and perhaps the most important piece of information for those reading reviews--after a few months of working with Elisha I landed my dream job. Yup. MY DREAM JOB. I needed a better search strategy and that's what Elisha helped me achieve.
I usually avoid writing reviews, but I am so grateful to Elisha and I wanted to give her a well-deserved shout-out. I hope sharing my experience helps encourage others in their job search journey. Keep fighting for the jobs you deserve, friends!

Working with Elisha Austin makes me feel like I'm not fleeing from unemployment in terror into another burning building. I feel safer with her here double checking me, pointing out my blind spots and biases. Curiosity and kindness are the basis of every good decision I've made in my life. I can do that when I'm working with Elisha because I don't have to do everything all at once. I don't think I could have found a better match. The matching questionnaire made it easy and the initial test made it almost fun. There is a difference between running away and running towards something.

Great career coaching
I went to Jobtest.org because I wasn’t happy with the direction my career was heading, and I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to pivot to. Jobtest gave me a placement/aptitude test that was able to give me some guidance for what I liked and didn’t like, but more importantly it put me in contact with a career coach named Shannon Ring. I paid for about 7-8 30-minute coaching sessions with Shannon over the course of about 3 months. Her process for helping me figure out what I liked and didn’t like from first principles—what my personal values are, whether or not the roles I have had previously aligned with those values, and what kinds of future roles *would* align with those values—helped to direct my focus for finding a role I would enjoy that I could easily transition over to with my current experience. Shannon was very patient and encouraging the entire time, and helped me to be honest with myself about what I was looking for in a future role. I have a solid idea of what I’m looking for for my next job, and I have Shannon to thank for that.

I wanted to take a moment and recommend Zanetta as both a coach and mentor. I was dissatisfied with my work and looking to figure out something that was both more meaningful and fulfilling. She helped guide me and direct me to find a path that would meet those requirements for me. This was, by far, the most comprehensive test I've ever taken for an assessment like this and I really appreciate that. I've only seen the limited version of my report, but the personality section is spot-on. Based on the jobs it asked me to rate for fit, they all seemed spot-on as well. This is such a great tool to help gain self-awareness and direction when you feel a little stuck or need some inspiration.
