The distribution channel of KDP was great. I saw consistent sales there. I went on a call with Steven Khan (Sr. Account Manager) to understand all the basics. I was hoping for a bit more visibility on other platforms like Barnes & Noble, though. That said, they made it easy to understand where my book was being sold and how royalties worked.

Be very careful! Kdp Publishing is the legitimate website for Amazon. Kdp Publishers is a scam site which left my novel in an unsellable condition. They came in on a 'chat site'. Took 12 months and $AUD984 to publish. Questions never answered. Staff with Indian accents? AI generated replies. What do I do now?

I signed an agreement with KDP Digital Publishers on 09-24-2024 when they told me my book publishing, website creation, and all other products purchased in the Pioneer Package would be completed by Thanksgiving 2024. Only the book was published on May 2, 2025—eight months later. Their “error-free” promise is a lie, as they forgot to add the Author’s Note page after emailing them twice to include it. I was repeatedly told that I could get a full refund at any time. They have only refunded me $1065 of the $10,819.34 I spent with them. In January 2025, my project manager told me to get my book edited elsewhere as they could not get it done, and that KDP would reimburse me the $1720. They refuse to reimburse me. They have continually badgered me with high-pressure techniques to upsell me and compel me to continue with their services. They sold me a Times Square billboard in December and told me I would probably sell 8,000 books, but they did not complete the work, and I am out tens of thousands of dollars in sales. KDP is a sham. Don’t be lured in by their salesmanship. UPDATE: Regarding KDP's reply. They lied about declining to edit my book. My project manager, Mac, told me the first editor refused to edit it, so they sent it to an editor at another KDP location, who had no problem with the content. It took them too long to finish, so Mac told me to do it myself. His boss, Zaye, told me THREE TIMES on three occasions that he would refund the total amount I paid anytime I was unhappy with their services. The paid advertising campaign KDP says, they compensated me--never happened--they did not complete any advertising. Also, I initiated disputes with my bank because they would not refund the amount I paid. DO NOT TRUST THEM! THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS AT DECEIT!

I had a truly horrible experience with this company. I worked with them for over one year, the excuses continued, the failed promises. The editing was so horrific I had to hire someone for the editing I purchased with them. After weeks of turmoil, my domains were finally transferred back to my account but it wasn't easy. Their rep asked me to agree to delete this review. I wish I had never dealt with this company.

If I could post a zero on this company, I would. They consistently promised without delivering on my marketing package. In the beginning, my project manager had a baby and was on paternity leave, then the wildfires, then his mom died in India. So, I got reassigned to a different person and the same incompetence recurred. They only did one piece of their multilevel marketing plan with any competence and that was the author spotlight they prepared for one of my novels. Everything else was not up to par. Beware, every time they are on the phone with you, they are more interested in upselling you on another phony service than actually delivering on the service you already paid for. Avoid them like the plague!
I was with this company for many months because the service was first non-existent because someone left the Company. I was then assigned someone else. Bottom line, I lost my $700.00 investment because they didn't fulfill their promise. Be careful if you want to invest here.
