Easy for our clients to source. The reliability is awesome, and support won't disappoint. I have used them for our Dynamometer electronics since 2006.
The labjack U6 fit my needs well. Very easy to use and setup. I was taking data right away. 16bit or better resolution and high impedance inputs 1Gohms. Well done Labjack!
So far, I've encountered LJ DAQs used in university student engineering teams, university laboratories, and in industry. In all these settings, I have only ever heard glowing reviews about the DAQs. After personally using a T7 for a while, I can honestly say it lives up to the praise. The hardware, software, and libraries are extremely versatile, which makes development and prototyping a breeze. One thing that I hear over and over again is how amazing the LJ support is. I never had any issues with the product itself, but the support team still went above and beyond by providing advice and suggestions to help us get the most out of the DAQ.
After receiving the Labjack T7 Pros, we realized that we had forgotten to ask about the 10% educational discount ... :o( ... but when we looked back at the billing info we found out that it had been applied for us. AWESOME! (we know that you've got our back) ... ;o) Thanks!
Used the T4 model to monitor a high-tech fish tank, with a desktop host on LabView, with Ethernet connection. The device discovered without an issue, provided VI's worked well.
The shipping was fast, the product works as expected! I will return to purchase more LabJack products!
Great communication. Looking forward to more support as we accessorize the unit.
Ordered Labjack T7 online from USA. Goods were received in Norway 3 days later. No problems. Know the equipment from previous projects. Will be used in automated PCBA test stations. All good.
Great service, very fast.
I like their technical support, I can just chat with them during the available chat time and they will respond to you immediately.
My package was lost in shipping. They sent me a new shipment. Greeat customer service. So now if it shows up, I'll just send it back with a premade label. That is great I can keep moving on my tight time line.
I have not idea how many email support@LabJack receives every day, but all that I know is that they always reply within few minutes.
We have been a customer of Labjack for number of years now. Our startup company owns 3 T7 pros in addition to numerous add ons (LJTicks), Mux80 etc. In my opinion LabJack’s customer support is top notch. As with the latest purchase once again LabJack was prompt and as usual the service was very professional.
The LJtick-R device doesn't give stable enough data for my application (measuring R around 25 ohms). I received a call from tech support that confirmed the device will not work well to measure such lo resistance. So I built my own interface for the measurement, which is working better.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We apologize that you did not get a reply, but we can't find that we ever received a message. You did have phone conversations with a couple of us today so we could try and fix any outstanding problems. You have a resistance around 20 ohms and want to resolve changes of around 0.0005 ohms. We looked and discussed and agree that is beyond the ability of the LJTick-Resistance-1000, even with the T7-Pro. The circuit you have set up yourself is working well for you and improving on that would likely require a custom circuit involving at least 1 precision op-amp. Not getting a reply is never okay. Whether you use direct email, comment in offline chat, or our contact form, they all result in an email to our main support box. We respond to most emails the same day, so if you have not heard back in a day or 2 there is definitely some problem. If this ever happens to anyone please contact us again and if you don't hear back quickly get on chat or call us to figure out what is wrong with the email. We really hate that someone would ever think they contacted us and then get no reply. As of this writing, our live chat hours are Monday through Friday from 9-11 am and 2-4 pm, Denver time. Yes that is only 50% of business hours, but we find that this schedule allows us to efficiently provide real support (Colorado engineers) and never use a chat robot or overseas support.
I used the T4. It was quick to set up for my project involving a strain gauge. When I needed assistance, Oren and Soloman were prompt to respond and only too supportive. Thank you both!
Responsive, courteous, timely.
Repeat purchase! Product works well for our in-house test fixtures,
The T8 is not ready for release to the market The Good: We were given a reasonable option to return multiple T7s (that were bought after the refund period) should a newly purchased T8 be able to replace them (thanks to channel isolation etc.) The Bad: After spending significant time trying to get simple rotary encoders to work with the T8 unit, we were advised that this function is not yet available. Note: the same rotary encoders work fine with T7s. We had a range of other issues associated with getting the streaming function to work. Suggestion: Be upfront about the limitations of the T8 unit. It would've saved us serious $ and time for coding, trialling and avoided hits to our prototyping timeline (e.g. timeline for constructing a control cabinet to adopt either multiple T7s or one T8)... My team had a lot of respect for LJ DAQs, as a no BS robust piece of tech supported by responsive experts.... This experience has had a very negative impact on our product development and LJ's rep within our team at least.
Sorry about your troubles Stefan. We are communicating directly and working on resolving this as best we can, but there was a misstep on our part here. The T8 is in "Early Release" status. Most aspects of the T8 are fully functioning, but some are not. A device like the T8 with 8x 24-bit simultaneous isolated analog inputs, is needed right now for some customers, and the features that are not fully supported are not a problem for many of these customers, so we are excited to get T8s in these customers hands during the Early Release phase. We have a T8 Release Status page, but we also have a rule that during Early Release no T8 ships until someone from our engineering department has talked to each customer about their requirements to make sure the T8 is right for them. Unfortunately that last step did not happen in this case, so we have now implemented further internal rules & awareness to make sure it does always happen going forward.
