I recently used Lap of Love when it was time to put my 11 year-old labrador down. I was of course, a wreck about it, but Dr. Morina helped to guide me through the process, gave me space to be with my girl and make sure she was comfortable during her last few moments, and just made a very difficult day/decision, much more peaceful for me and Bella. While it is not a service I want to use frequently, I’m so grateful to know that Lap of Love is out there because giving your dog the ability to go peacefully at home instead of being in the vets office and being nervous is just a complete game changer. Thank you, Dr. Morina, you are an angel and I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed.

Goodbye Sonny boy
There are no words that can fully express our gratitude for the kindness and compassion Dr. Amanda showed us as we said goodbye to our beloved Sonny. For fourteen and a half years, he was our faithful companion, our hiking partner, our source of laughter, and a cherished member of our family. Making the decision to let him go was the hardest act of love we have ever faced, but Dr. Amanda's gentleness gave us the strength to do what was best for him. She treated Sonny with such dignity and tenderness, and she treated us with the same compassion. In the midst of our heartbreak, her calm voice, caring hands, and genuine empathy brought us comfort we will never forget. Although our home feels unbearably empty, we find peace in knowing that Sonny's final moments were filled with love, surrounded by the people who adored him and cared for him so deeply. Thank you for the work you do every day. It takes extraordinary hearts to help families through such profound loss, and we will always be grateful that you were there for ours.

I tested them out once a couple years…
I tested them out once a couple years before my dogs death. No one answered so I left a voice mail and no one called me back.
When my dog was terminal I called on Saturday morning and the earliest available to come to my house was Monday. They aren’t as advertised,, at least not in the Tampa area.

Dr. Lexi was amazing - Thank you
Dr. Lexi provided exceptional compassion, kindness, and dignity, allowing Lizzy to pass peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by the people who loved her. On one of the hardest days of our lives, her gentle care brought us comfort and peace, and we will always be grateful for the gift she gave both Lizzy and our family.

Gentle Way To End Life
We used this service last weekend and was very pleased. We've now had to put 3 dogs down, two at the vet and our Buddy with Lap of Love. This experience was by far more gentle and humane on both our puppy and us.

My dog murdered when had chance to live
My dog was KILLED by them when might’ve had a chance to live- 18 - my vet Dr. Browning at TLC to do very low surgery- remove 1 small growth w local-had concern. Seeing 15 yrs -fab reputation. Changed-- gave general to remove unnecessary growths-no consent. Never give 18 general! -Something fishy- last minute change. No consent- no preop blood.. After 4th day call LOL for just assessment -as couldn’t reach vet- Seemed wanted to avoid me. Dr. Sylvia comes -so fast -he’s passed out from anesthesia-on couch But alive. Euthanized him. So fast. Trusted her expertise.
Learn after my vet failed to tell-take to ER -bloodwork needed to check organs-his kidneys, already compromised. Out of character for her so fishy reason changed. He’s layey out on couch- still alive. Had dogs all life thought it was a matter of time for anesthesia to wear off. Learned after are things that you do - my own Vet didn’t tell me- making sure covered w blanket so don’t get hyperthermia - until out of anesthesia should’ve been told to go to an ER for critical care - to do bloodwork to see what’s going on with kidneys, etc. to see if has chance. Dr. S in a hurry. She doesn’t really examine him much. She doesn’t ask about him much. He walked an hour night before surgery. . She was so fast she kill him- Emails states SHE DECIDED - not me. Not how should be. Should have before I euthanize take measures your Vet didnt say -then if I’m possible to come back then call me . Perhaps a different LAPDVM would’ve said but got her 1 . In a hurry. Man in car- maybe on way to dinner- in email next day like talking about different dog - says incontitent- couldn’t get up on own. NOT true. Suspect made up to justify. Lies-Called my my vet. Says she said very sick dog really that operate on on dog? She told her underselling issues! Speculate told me to justify what did. But LIED. Career in experimenting on animals.ugh Suspect limited experience with cats & dogs. After her email flipped-left VM w corporate- was beyond upset when realized reality. upset, but not threatening just saying she killed my dog based on wrong reasons didn’t know the facts - didnt rec what may have saved him. . They blocked me nationwide. A company about compassion- people died by suicide after losing pet someone from corporate should’ve called me to make sure I was OK and listen to situation. Via google- found owner- advocate for extending senior dogs life’s yet look what happened to my senior dog. He was KILLED when might have chance. Maybe small owner should’ve fired her that she killed a dog that had a chance of living even if small - deserved that. Sure some of their vets are good. If only I got a different one it was a longshot at that point based on his age, but still she should have instructed to do what could maybe help. Rather quickly kills. Speculate knew when walked in door. You Think euthanizing bring more money than assessment?
Will never be same. I thought he was suffering. Screamed out in early am- thought in pain gave gabapentin which did set him back since that can cause lethargy. I told her an email she wrote that drug would not cause lethargy and that is so wrong. She doesn’t have the knowledge to be doing what she’s doing.!! Taking a life!
A company that has special lever they pull block someone nationwide there’s gotta be a reason.

There are no words that can truly…
There are no words that can truly express how grateful my family is to Lap of Love.
After 16 wonderful years with our beloved dog, we had to make the most heartbreaking decision of our lives. We were devastated, and I honestly don’t think I have stopped crying. What I will never forget, though, is the kindness, compassion, and dignity that every person at Lap of Love showed us.
They explained every step with such gentleness and patience. Nothing felt rushed. They treated our dog with so much love and respect, and they treated us with the same care. As painful as that day was, they somehow made an unimaginable goodbye feel peaceful and full of love.
It takes a very special kind of person to do this work. You can tell that they truly love animals, and that this is much more than just a job to them. They gave our best friend the beautiful, gentle farewell she deserved, and they gave our family memories of her final moments that we will always cherish instead of fear.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget your kindness.
On June 3, 2026 we had to say goodbye to our Gina dog. Dr Kenzie Quick made this a truly calm and comforting experience, for us and Gina.
We have had many sweet dogs that we have had to say goodbye to throughout the years. Even though we love our vet and they do a good job, this home euthanasia is so much better for all involved.
I absolutely recommend Lap of love for their support and also Dr Kenzie Quick for her expertise, information and warm kindness.
Full of regretInvolving lap of love has only left me…
Involving lap of love has only left me with regret ,guilt ,trama ,trust issues ,loss and deep sadness in my heart ..
Lap of love sent a very unprofessional, unstable, cruel, lack of empathy vet Jessica SPITZER from Thousand Oaks ca to my home and within five minutes my 16 yo 4 lb blind, deaf and scared of everything chihuahua who happen to be my whole world that I protected from the cruelty of this world and bc of lack of love sending Jessica SPITZER who maliciously ended my baby’s life and without remorse threw a blanket over my baby’s head held her down then stabbed her with a huge syringe and left her little limp body under that blanket ! It happened so fast I couldn’t believe what she just did to my baby my guard was down!I am left devastated and in disbelief my soul baby was attracted held down under a blanket and stabbed !!omg ! That’s the memory I’m left with .. I didn’t get to hold her or even say goodbye the guilt is unbearable worse decision I’ve ever made and there’s nothing to change it I’m left to live with it .
The vet was in a hurry and it showed no caring concern for my genuine loss.
The vet was in a hurry and it showed. It made me, my daughter, and my pet very wary. She said the right things but poking her in the eye 3-4 times to prove she had no “blink reflex” was heart shattering. She kept trying to make it go faster and started doing things before we were ready. It was discomforting at best and rude at the worst.
The woman that answered the phone was extremely polite and genuinely sorry for our baby. She’s the one that sold me.
The vet acted like she was late for a lunch date and took it out on my Lovey kitty. She did too much to her while she was “sleeping” and it made me angry. I felt rushed to say goodbye and I’ll never forgive her for that.
The things that came after were genuinely lovely and I had a hard time wrapping my head around the vet’s negativity in the center with the other two area’s positivity. It didn’t even match what I was told what would happen. I’ll refer your company to NOBODY. It’s taken me this long to be able to even type about it. I do not remember the exact date. I have only guessed. It is a date I do not want to ever remember.
Sincerely,
Bonnie M.

This was our first time to use this…
This was our first time to use this kind of service and we had a great experience with Lap of Love. The Doc that came out was wonderful, compassionate and made a very painful situation easier, especially for my wife. Definitely recommend.
Dr Kali Jimenez entered our home full of grace and empathy! I was greeted with a hug and thanked her for coming so quickly! I called at 7:30 pm the night before and she was there at 9:10 am the next day!
She explained the entire process to us and when I talked about my sweet Bear, she too had tears in her eyes. She was so respectful during the process and treated my dog with such kindness. She turned the worst day of my life into a beautiful send off for my SOUL dog Bear!
To be able to do this in the privacy of your own home, where your pet lived and loved meant the world to us! The reverence and care when placing my Bear on the stretcher and putting him in the van was a peaceful experience.
I will highly recommend this wonderful company to all my animal lover friends!
Thank you Dr Kali Jimenez for your loving care ! I will never forget you! God bless you in this very important job you have ! You are truly a blessing!

Caring and compassionate
The same day I found out my dog was going to suffer, I called lap of love and the person I talked on the phone was very caring and explained everything to me from the prices to private cremation and how was going to be the process at my house. Dr. Jaclyn was awesome she was very calm and gave me peace on how the process was going to be, she was very respectful of my time with my dog. Dr Jaclyn took the time to talk to me about my Speedo and how he was when he was a puppy until that day. That conversation calmed me down.
A week later I received the ashes of my Speedo in a beautiful box. My experience with lap of love was excellent.

I’d give 0 if I could
I’d give 0 if I could. We used “Lap of Love” in Austin. The vet didn’t follow the protocol she told us she would and caused our kitty’s last moments to be full of panic and fear. My entire family was traumatized, and I cannot imagine how my sweet kitty must’ve felt. I’ll never forgive myself for letting them into my house to inflict such trauma on my precious kitty. It breaks my heart. Avoid at all costs!!
disappointing. good customer service but quality does not seem to exist here. especially follow through is not really a follow through. does not worth time and money if you ask me.

DO NOT USE Lap of Love or Dr Kathleen Ward
I cannot recommend Lap of Love or Dr. Kathleen Ward. I’m writing this so no other family has to go through what we did. What should have been a gentle, love-filled goodbye for our 16-year-old cat, Shuggie, turned into a heartbreaking nightmare.
From the very first call, something felt wrong. Dr. Ward said she’d be arriving early without asking if that was okay, offered no words of comfort, and seemed focused only on ensuring the consent form had been signed. (It had been signed, and she should have checked her email instead of burdening me with this detail. I had enough to contend with having to say goodbye to my beloved cat, and the fact she was now coming early and time was even shorter.)
When it came time to sedate her, my partner asked Dr. Ward to sit with us on the couch where Shuggie lay peacefully purring in my lap. Instead, she chose to stand over her to administer the shot. I believe this is why she missed the mark. I believe she hit the bone which is why Shuggie reacted in sudden pain and fear, biting and scratching us for the first time in her entire life. It took three attempts, and rather than showing concern or taking responsibility, Dr. Ward coldly said, “She bent my needle.”
At this point I was sobbing hysterically and uncontrollably. Dr. Ward said “Well, I told you it wouldn’t be painless”. Her words were devastating and unnecessary. There was no compassion, no empathy, no remorse, just detachment. She took no responsibility for her actions. She rushed through the process, saying she “didn’t have all day,” leaving us no time to calm down or say goodbye. On her way out the door, said to my very stunned partner, “I’m sorry it did not go as Caryn had hoped.” Another insensitive comment that completely undermined the gravity of the situation. In retrospect we wished we had the wherewithal to ask this question, were you happy with how it went, Dr. Ward?
We’re left haunted by what happened. Our last memory of Shuggie is not of peace, but of panic and pain, and a violent death. We can’t even begin to grieve properly because the trauma overshadows everything. I share this in the hope that no one else ever has to endure such a cruel, careless goodbye to a beloved pet at the hands of a vet and company that is allegedly built on compassion.

I can't recommend Lap of Love
I can't recommend Lap of Love. I chose to have my cat cremated privately. They told me the ashes are delivered to my veterinarian and that's where I would pick them up. Even though the vet that came to my house confirmed my veterinarian's name and street address with me, and the follow-up emails had the correct name, Lap of Love sent the crematorium the WRONG vet name and address. My cat's ashes were delivered over 2 hours away from me. I had to make numerous phone calls and send multiple emails to find out where she was and to get her ashes delivered to me. It's appalling and it was a horrific experience. I told both them and the crematorium they need to put some type of quality control check in place so this never happens to anyone again.
