Lingua Verna is a wonderful place to…
Lingua Verna is a wonderful place to learn Arabic through the culture, personal stories, and shared history that surround this beautiful language. The team is exceptional, and the teachers are approachable, attentive, and genuinely supportive. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
The best Arabic program on the market. You’ll be speaking fluidly in no time if you’re willing to put in the work. Very dedicated (and fun!) teachers and well-structured between online, self-directed program and guided live instruction and conversations. In a few weeks, they’ll have you reading and speaking/conversing (vocab and grammar to construct your own sentences vs canned phrases) - if you do the work!

I wish I could give this 6 stars!!
I am incredibly grateful for this program; it has drastically improved my grammar and formatting skills. As a student, the workload is completely manageable, making it perfect for anyone with a busy schedule. More than anything, it provides a supportive environment where I feel comfortable making mistakes. There is absolutely nothing else like this on the market. Having grown up in a Levantine Arabic-speaking household, I can honestly say I have learned more about English in the past year than in the last 25 years of my life. The lessons break concepts down perfectly, the team puts immense effort into their work, and they are always incredibly responsive!

Everything is made simple
Coming from a monolingual family & culture, I never thought I'd be able to learn Arabic. However, Lingua Verna is so intelligently structured that everything eventually falls into place like a big puzzle. It goes slow but I've never been alone or had a question unanswered. Big shout out to Alex for all these great videos to follow along with and Nermeen for leading such a fun weekly conversation group!

great courses and teachers
I signed up for this class hoping to learn Arabic so I could speak with my wife's family in Lebanon. I found the courses well structured and beginner friendly. Learned more in my first course than I did after a year of trying to learn from an app. The teachers are all wonderful and take time explain the nuances of the Arabic language along with explaining parts of Levant culture. My wife's family has been impressed with my progress and I feel like I'm finally able to participate in conversations without my wife always needing to translate.
Lingua Verna has been amazing for learning Arabic as someone who didn't know any beforehand. They have great structure and teaching methods which reinforce fluidity overtime. The instructors here really care about you and are truly passionate about the language. I would recommend this to anyone looking to learn Levantine Arabic from scratch or build up on slight knowledge from speaking with family members.

Levantine Arabic you can use!
I started with Lingua Verna after trying different apps and classes of arabic that never really applied to what my Syrian partner and his family were speaking, which was quite frustrating. It's been fantastic learning levantine Arabic and actually be able to use it/understand people around me right away.
The structure of the class is really great, with time to absorb information, practice speaking, ask questions as they emerge. I really appreciate the visual aspect of the learning materials provided. I also love that although people come with different levels of exposure to arabic, everything is fully explained (I've been in intro classes before where I felt completely left behind as the class was adapted to people with previous arabic knowledge while i was struggling with the alphabet!) In the convo groups, the profs will also adapt to people's level of capacity, which is great ! I like hearing where I could (will) be with a bit more practice 😉
Amazing experience. This course was so intuitive and really gave a great foundation for the language.

Practical and effective!
I'm in the middle of Lingua Verna's level 2 Arabic course — these lessons are so practical! I'm able to understand quite a bit of what my wife and her mother are saying when they talk together, and sometimes I can even chime in! 😅 Highly recommended!

I am quite amazed how Lingua Verna has…
I am quite amazed how Lingua Verna has brought up my latent Arab skills as a "False beginner" with their structured approach. I really like that there videos are available online at all times which gives me a great deal of flexibility. Plus, with the convo groups you actually have the chance to practice with native speakers and other learners of your level weekly. So that means two sessions per week: one with new content, one practicing and applying what you learned. This really helps keeping it!

This program is fantastic!
This program is fantastic! It's exactly what I was looking for, not only to start building on the little Arabic I knew already but also to feel more comfortable speaking to others. The lessons are clear, organized and not overwhelming. The conversation groups allow you to practice with others who are also learning. Before taking the first level, I didnt know how to read arabic, 3 weeks later and I could. Alex and the team do an amazing job explaining all the rules and different soundings of the letters as well. The way the whole program is put together just makes sense. I'd recommend anyone who is interested in learning levantine arabic at all - even if its only at a basic level - to sign up for the first level. I wish I signed up years ago!
Lingua Verna is the best for learning Levantine Arabic, if you want to sound like a native speaker, you must join this group. All instructors are extremely qualified and so personable, they cover a lot of material and I would highly recommend this platform! Alex and his team are the best!

The method works
The method works. Lingua Verna has come up with a dual system for learning, with "plenary session" with teachers and all students of the same level, then smaller group discussions that help integrate notions studied throughout the week. The various asynchronous resources available are quite well done and I think what Lingua Verna does well is offer an ecosystem where you actually want to commit to learning and it doesn't become a chore.
Many of my family members speak Lebanese Arabic - and I've tried quite a few ways to learn so I can speak them in their first language. Lingua Verna is by far the most effective learning method I've tried - I'm on month 5 now and every week I'm able to say and understand more! Thank you!

Before joining Lingua Verna’s Levantine…
Before joining Lingua Verna’s Levantine Arabic course, I was struggling to find a program that truly focused on conversation. I knew I wanted to learn Levantine specifically; the apps and textbooks were helpful, but it was difficult to pick up the nuances of the language. Learning Arabic is important to me because I want to communicate naturally with Levantine speakers in everyday situations, not just recognise words on a page. I was looking for something that would help me actually speak and understand real-life conversations with confidence.
What I’ve enjoyed most about Lingua Verna is how thoughtfully the course is designed. The videos and lessons are broken down into manageable chunks, so I never feel overwhelmed, but I’m always progressing. The integrated flashcard format is a huge bonus—it reinforces vocabulary and expressions from each lesson in a way that feels seamless and efficient, rather than like extra homework. The entire program is clearly built around helping learners use the language, not just learn about it.
The instructors are another major highlight. They are generous with their time, extremely supportive, and genuinely invested in their students’ progress. They’re also very flexible and willing to accommodate different schedules. Their explanations are clear, their feedback is encouraging, and they create a comfortable environment where it feels safe to make mistakes and keep improving.
I would recommend Lingua Verna to anyone serious about learning Levantine Arabic, especially those who:
• Want a conversation-focused course rather than something purely academic
• Prefer lessons that are structured but not overwhelming
• Appreciate built-in tools like flashcards to reinforce what they learn
• Need flexible scheduling and supportive, responsive instructors
I really enjoy this course, and if your goal is to speak Levantine Arabic more naturally and confidently, Lingua Verna and its tutors are an excellent choice.

Learning Arabic is incredibly important…
Learning Arabic is incredibly important to me because I’ve always wanted to communicate freely with my grandma and my dad in their native tongue. Since joining this program I’ve been understanding more and more Arabic everyday. One of my favorite parts of the program is being able to practice in small groups weekly. I also appreciate the fact that the vocab introduced every week is relevant to everyday life, so I am able to communicate/practice with my family in an organic way. I would definitely recommend Lingua Verna to anyone who has tried and struggled with other programs in the past.
