Good quality kits
These kits are very good quality and what you see is what you get. The brush and the paints are far superior to the ones in cheaper ranges. The painting is done on textured board which again is for me, better than canvas supplied in cheaper kits. Paintings are very detailed. They can look overwhelming if you have not done them before but once you get started, that feeling goes away. Just be aware of the difference in colours between the computer screen, the box and the finished painting- sometimes there is quite a difference but this does not normally spoil the look of the painting. Once or twice it has and I have said as much in reviews on their website which brings me to the only real complaint I have with Schipper. They do not allow poor reviews on their website which is not helpful when you are trying to decide whether to buy or not. Schipper does not come cheap and I feel that they should allow all reviews good bad or indifferent. Having said that, Schipper kindly sent me out a replacement painting kit of my choice to make up for my disappointment.
Great paintings
Good quality and the pictures on the site reflect the motive perfectly. I´ve bought about 25 paintings from this site and have sadly painted all motives i´m interested in.. The only downside, is that some times the lighter colors are a bit transparent. Thus you will have to paint 2-3 layers. Can be fixed by just keeping the container open for a while and getting it a little bit dryer. Super happy customer!
