Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently highlight the smooth onboarding process, highly flexible working hours, and incredibly supportive project managers who always provide clear guidance during daily tasks. People really appreciate the regular weekly payouts and the amazing opportunity to collaborate on interesting and innovative artificial intelligence projects.
However, some customers also noted recurring issues regarding delayed compensation, missing bonuses, or unexpected payment delays after finishing their assigned projects. A few other people also felt that the overall lack of job security and sudden project endings made it quite difficult to maintain stable work over time.

Mercor used my work and deleted my hours refusing to pay.
Mercor used my work and deleted my hours. They submitted my work to their client and refused to Pay me. I know this because I also got notifications about submitted work on my personal email. They stole over 40 hours from me that has not yet been paid till date. Communication has been terrible. Despite repeatedly mentioning to them that my hours have been deleted for work delivered and services rendered showing them records of the hours and work delivered, they have refused to pay me. Stay away from them.
So I worked for Mercor for a straight 5 months on different projects and I absolutely love working for Mercor.
This is a company that's very organized as well as they keep their contractors very informed as to what's going on. Their communication is great. If I could be hired permanently with Mercor it would be the dream. I have applied at so many jobs, and most of the time get rejected from most of them, that is the disheartening part, and I know there are certain requirements and everything. But I get turned down for a lot of positions.
The one thing I like is if a project comes up they will reach out to you to work on it. Umm, the thing I don't like is just not working for Mercor.
Mercor is the best platform for remote jobs and fully WFH opportunities.
Amazing platform to exchange your skills for decent money opportunities, Mercor has enabled me to work from the comfort of my home and put use to my SWE skills to train the frontier models and also has enabled me to be a part of prob the biggest revolution of 21st century. and the staff and team leads are super cooperative and polite and professional making Mercor my goto platform for finding remote work. Thanks Mercor for making my work life awesome.
Applying went well. The pay was good. The onboarding felt fuzzy. The project was overstaffed and i had trouble getting tasks. Just as i was getting a hang of it, they ended my Project.
I have been working on a contract with Mercor for over 60 days. The projects are well organized, consistent with work, and pays very well. It's been a blessing to have Mercor for consistent slide work. My experience with Mercor has opened the door to multiple projects, and opportunities with order company. I highly recommend Mercor.
Great side hustle with much higher hourly rates compared to Outlier. Though there are many short-term projects, recruiters often send instant offers before new projects officially open if you deliver good performance. You also don't have to go through AI interviews every time you apply. However, they tend to stick with people they've worked with before, making it a bit difficult to get accepted into new types of projects outside your usual scope.
My work experience process with Mercor as an independent contractor
The company is legitimate in working with AI companies to improve the user process.
There were very detailed instructions for how the process works.
The company is also very transparent about how the payment process works and is always punctual with this.
The management team provided good feedback and communication.
Mercor made the entire process of viewing jobs, applying, being matched with companies, and onboarding streamlined. They are very professional and truly value professionals by offering competitive hourly rates. Payments are once a week like clockwork without any problems.
This company has been great to work with. As a single parent, the flexibility to work when I want combined with some extra income, has been important for me. Plus, I have picked up some new skills.
Reputable company with weekly payouts and flexible scheduling
Onboarding was easy once selected for any project. The team does well at communicating what they can, when they can. Nice way to make some, more than decent money.
I joined this company and to my surprise it proved to be legit. They provide feedback on my job applications within the expected timeframe. Upon project placement, they provided clear onboarding instructions and proved to have a hands on dedicated team. I felt secure when providing my personal information and mostly importantly they had no excuse paying out for my services. I wish I could get more opportunities and I wish my project didn’t have to end so abruptly. I continue searching for an opportunity that suits my expertise.
The instructions seemed to change from day to day. The videos did not match the written instructions. The graphics didn't match the actual interface. The down time was a lot. Having office hours helped tremendously, but getting ahold of team leads took a lot of time.
