One of a kind organization
One of a kind organization. If you are going to the trouble to create and preserve a time capsule, you MUST go to the trouble of registering it with ITCS, so it isn't lost to history!

We are pleased to offer our strong recommendation for the NotForgotten Digital Preservation Library and the excellent work they are doing to protect and preserve time capsules for future generations. NotForgotten combines reliable technology with a thoughtful, personal approach to help ensure that stories, events, and memories are not lost to time. Their platform is clear, accessible, and designed to last — with records that are securely stored and linked to public libraries to help future generations find them. Our own experience was outstanding. NotForgotten added the Cub Scout Pack 364 Thomaston, CT time capsule to their records in a very timely and very kind way. Their professionalism and attention to detail gave us full confidence that our small-town legacy will be remembered, especially when Thomaston celebrates its Bicentennial in 2075. We’re grateful for the work NotForgotten is doing and encourage other groups and communities to consider this meaningful way of preserving their own histories. Sincerely, Ken Santopietro f/b/o Cub Scout Pack 364, Thomaston, CT
Time Capsule 2.0
I really admire that an International Time Capsule Society with archival power exists. This is the second time I've recorded a time capsule and its location with the organization, and I love that I can bury and record as many time capsules as I want for numerous generations to discover. My 1 critique for this particular capsule's registration is that I specifically labeled my time capsule will be located at "8 Woodland Road Orinda, CA" every single time the address location was brought up during the process. But on the Time Capsule Society's official map online, the location is only listed as "Woodland Road Orinda." The #8 has to be there for specific pinpointing!!! I hope this is recorded.
No Response to Inquiries
I have sent several inquiries (emails) on how to update the location of our time capsule and have not received a response. I received a reply after posting this and they responded. Not sure what the mix up was.

I recommend multiple languages
my rating is only 4 stars as I believe that the census system should be managed in multiple languages, in particular the part on privacy. Thank you for this site and for your commitment greetings from Italy
Puts your time capsule on the map
Registering your time capsule with the ITCSOC puts it on the map - literally! The registration process allows you to explain the purpose and content of your capsule thoroughly, and makes it known to the world.

Supportive way to preserve heritage
Easy website to navigate, and a great initiative to support the preservation of heritage.
They make it so easy…
My biggest concern in making a time capsule is that it would be forgotten about. I am so glad the ITCS exists, and that they made the process of recording it so easy.
To the International Time Capsule…
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Fiji wishes to thank you for the service provided. We are very much satisfied and happy that our 50th Anniversary Time capsule was registered with the International Time Capsule Society after the Society got in touch with us. Having being registered with the International Time capsule Society gives our office a coverage of being on the world map and provides an excellent topic of discussion with people visiting our office. It puts our organization out there together with other countries and hopefully inspires others to create time capsules which capture the history as well as memories of staff over the years and for the generations to come. We are thankful and grateful for your service. ODPP Fiji

In 1976, my elementary school buried a time capsule. It really had an impact on me, so I've always remembered its location. In 2026, the capsule is due to be opened. I registered the time capsule with your group. I hope we have a good group in 3 years, when we dig it up. Without your organization spreading the word, nobody else would remember. You guys did a great job and made it easy.
