What people say

Very disappointing experience with PassFast and my assigned PDI

I enrolled with PassFast for their Class 3A Express course and was assigned Hei Keng Swee, whom I knew as Robert Koh, as my private driving instructor at SSDC. Unfortunately, my experience fell well below what I expected from an express course intended to prepare a learner for the practical test. My practical lessons were on 25 July, 1 August, 10 August and 25 August 2026. One recurring issue was lesson duration. Although lessons were supposed to last one hour, my experience was that they would typically involve about 45 minutes of actual lesson time, with a roughly 15-minute toilet break. My instructor would sometimes return with food and eat while I continued driving. More concerningly, there were occasions when he watched videos while I was driving. My circuit preparation was particularly disappointing. I had only one circuit training session before my TP test. My lesson on 25 August was supposed to include road and circuit training over approximately two hours, but I received only about 15 minutes of road driving and approximately 25 minutes in the circuit. During that circuit session, I was taken through the various courses except for the ramp-and-pole exercise. I was not told about this exercise and did not even know it existed until the morning of my practical test, when it was introduced to me for the first time. I was also instructed that I would have to get out of the vehicle myself to remove the pole. During the actual test, however, the tester handled the pole. After my practical test, the tester specifically told me that I had failed to confirm safety while parking and clearly explained the safety checks expected of me. This was the first time this requirement had been clearly explained to me during my training. I was also disappointed with PassFast's response when I raised my concerns and sought a resolution. As PassFast was the company through which I purchased the course and was assigned the instructor, I expected it to take some ownership of the situation and assist in addressing my concerns. Instead, I was essentially advised to discuss the matter directly with Robert Koh. I did not find PassFast forthcoming in offering a meaningful resolution or taking an active role in addressing the issues I had raised. To be clear, I accept responsibility for the mistakes I made during my TP test and I am not blaming either the instructor or PassFast for my failure. My dissatisfaction concerns the quality, duration and completeness of the instruction I received, together with PassFast's response when I subsequently sought assistance. Following this experience, I decided to change PDI rather than continue with the same instructor. Traffic Police has since approved my change of PDI. I have also separately submitted feedback to Traffic Police concerning the instruction and supervision I received; at the time of writing, I am awaiting their response. Based on my personal experience, I would not use PassFast again and would not choose this instructor again. Prospective learners may wish to clarify the actual lesson duration, amount of circuit training, coverage of all test components and level of instructor supervision before committing to a package. When a customer purchases an express driving course through an intermediary, I believe it is reasonable to expect that intermediary to do more than simply refer the customer back to the very instructor about whom concerns are being raised.

They are quoting me SGD140-SGD170 per…

They are quoting me SGD140-SGD170 per hour for each lesson for e Class 3A - this seems to be excessive as I understand the market average is approx. SGD60-SGD80 per hour. Appreciated if anyone can please provide their view or experience with this. Thanks.

Excellent and efficient service!

Signed up for their express course (context: I am an experienced driver with an US license, could not convert due to arcane SG licensing rules) and it was well worth it! Efficient arrangement of lessons with clear instructions from Chris and the team to guide me from start to finish. Just got my license today in around 2 months of signing up with them. Strongly recommend!
