While the software PDFsimpli AI Image Editing was working fine and delivered fine results, since two days (i.e. since the company ran an update, as they confirmed), image editing is no longer usable: especially the Make HD tool no longer works as it did before. Their human chat support is fine, but could not really help and advised to contact support. I opened a ticket via E-Mail and got an answer which is absolutely not acceptable. I asked for a professional support, now. If I do not get it, I will cancel my expensive annual subscription, that is for sure. Bad service so far.

When you create account for trial period, you are automatically subscribed for their 50€ per month services. I paid 1,5€ for trial period and tried to translate a pdf document. The platform processed the pdf file and notified me that it is translated, but when I downloaded the "translated" file it was not translated, so I forgot about this PDFsimpli platform. After two weeks when trial period ended I was surprised when I saw that 50€ was billed from my account. Then I became aware that it was a small text scam and that when you want to try something to see if it works, they already subscribe you to the service if you're not careful. After reading all the reviews here looks like the platform itself exists mostly because they prey for people who do not read all the disclaimers on their webpage. It is not very obvious that you will be automatically subscribed after trial period is over If you don't read all the disclamers on their webpage. And looks like they like people who do not look every month on their credit card invoices, so after some months quite a sum can be lost and you will not get the money back. I mailed the them to return me the money and opened a dispute on PayPal. They wanted me to close the dispute and they said they will return me the money if I do so. But according to other reviews here, you will not get the money if you do so. So I waited for PayPal to decide the dispute and looks like they are accomplices in this scam (or pdf simply is protected by their disclaimers) and they side with pdf simpli (this was already mentioned also in other reviews here). I am closing the PayPal account and I will be more vigilant in the future before even trying some platforms. I would recommend that you open the disputes on PayPal anyway, so maybe something changes in the future if there will be too many disputes. After I post this they will probably reply how sorry they are for this inconvenience (probably automated AI response) and that I should call their phone number and resolve the issue with them. But as I have said you will not resolve with them and you will not resolve with PayPal and you will not resolve with your bank. Lessons learned, move on. Hope this review helps somebody to not fall in the scam.
