The ash holder attachment addresses the one shortcoming if the PBC by having to carry the entire cooker to dump the ashes. I tend to agree with some other reviews that say this piece of hardware should be standard equipment but then the magic $300 threshold would be broken. The all purpose seasoning also comes in a much more practical 2.5# size which will last most of a year for me. By both without reservation.
I added the PBC to my arsenal of smokers so as to have a simplistic unit to smoke at home instead of breaking out the heavies. I have to "slap" myself to Keep it Simple. I'm tempted to add a thermometer & drill a port for a guru system. BUT it's not needed! I witnessed a several PBC 's at a BBQ competition st Mohegan Sub Casino last year & the Competitor practically swept the 4-meat contest. It's a great smoker that's gets it done!
