I just enrolled in the Producer Accelerator course to take my production skills to the next level. The new modules feature excellent foundational topics such as workflow and sound design, and they come with lifetime access as promised. I got a reply from support to my question in about a day. However, the group calls seemed a little too crowded for me.
By participating in the Producer Accelerator program, I was able to see where my shortcomings were as a producer and why my productions on got so far. Following the guidance of this course, I was able to overcome many of the obstacles that kept me from finishing projects. In addition to the program itself, there is also a community of support and opportunities for real, ongoing feedback.
Nathan is consistent, charismatic and knowledgeable in his field. He focuses on all the right things and is constantly adding value to the course. It is a worthwhile investment for any producer or aspiring producer. Additionally, the community is lovely and filled with great opportunities. It’s been awesome since I joined over a year ago!
I started out watching nathen on youtube and his content was just..... let's make it simple it was great, So I decided to check out his course and was even more amazed he gives you everything you need to know to be a music producer on a golden plate, he knows what he's talking about, and the community that he created is a real valuable thing.
When I joined I was just dabbling in music production making raw mostly acappella recordings. The detailed lessons paired with practice and the amazing feedback from Nathan and the team pointing exactly where I needed to improve took me from newbie to releasing songs I'm proud of in less than 4 months. Not only that, I met amazing friends and collaborate with some of them. I started writing songs and producing with clients too and I'm so grateful these songs are no longer just for me. People enjoy listening! This year I was in in awe to see I was in the top 5 for 42 people on Spotify and top 10 for 127 and I love when people message me thanking me for a song. This wouldn't have happened in such a short time without PA. And I'm still learning and being an active member. I'm forever grateful!
Trying to teach myself to produce was hard. In all the Youtube videos, cheap zoom classes, crappy websites, there was nothing that was providing a foundation to learn how to produce. Then came Producer Accelerator! Nathan helped me take producing to a whole new level, teaching me things I never would've even known mattered, or even existed. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!
Nathan's course has been a game changer for me. When I joined there was an enormous amount of useful info and more material keeps getting added. The Feedback Friday's, where songs get critiqued live, is invaluable. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to take their production skills to the next level.
This is a very good online series of video courses for music production and composition. Nathan James Larsen has a popular YouTube channel that gives solid practical advise from a professional Producer's experience. The Accelerator course goes into more depth in things like song structure, composition, pre-production and a whole new production module. The mixing section isn't emphasized as much as musicianship is, which is refreshing, since a good song isn't made of just piling on a bunch of mixing plugins randomly... personally I find the videos lessons geared more to Logic Pro users... especially for people unfamiliar with a DAW—they may need to do extra research on YouTube on how to do similar editing and FX in Ableton, Studio One, FL Studio, Cubase, or ProTools. However, Nathan keeps adding new content to the course which is outstanding...and something I haven't seen from other online production courses. The best part of the course is the Feedback Fridays, where they play member's songs and give professional feedback. I will say, like any course, the best way to get the most out of it is to actually watch the videos and try what he covers.
Producer accelerator changed my life! I didn’t even know what was the difference between producing and mixing when I started the program back in February 2021. Nathan is such an amazing teacher. The content of the course is very well structured, easy to follow and straight forward. There is a lot of information. Of course, it is up to the student to do the work. No matter how good the course and the teacher, if you want to get better, you need to really practice and work hard for upping your skills, but always joyfully ;) About my experience, after 3 months in the course, I had produced and mixed my first track. It is far from perfect, but the quality of the sound was pro enough. So I decided to release it. If you guys want to check it out : Fhylou - “C’est pas si vrai” Guess what, few months later I have been contacted by the music supervisor for a big budget Finnish movie, and they wanted to have that song in the movie. Mind blowing! And meanwhile I have continued producing, I’ve met super cool people within the Producer accelerator group, and done quite a few collabs within the group. The feedback fridays when you get to send one of your track for getting pro advices on how to go on with it are extremely valuable. Through the year 2022 I’ve been learning more and more, and I’ve been hired in the summer to compose and produce the sound track and sound design for a french Documentary that’s been shown in the movie theaters. ( “Namibia by Steven Le Hyaric”, you can find excerpts on my website philippebensalem.com ) Again, I have put the work to get better and better, but I couldn’t have done that without Nathan’s course. I have tried to figure it out on my own and with youtube for 10 years before finding Nathan. Before, I could only record my vocals and my guitar, add in a few synths, that was it. And I used only what was built-in logic, I didn’t even understand much about third parties sample libraries and plugins. I didn’t know either how to use most of the plugins like compressors, Eqs, limiters etc. The only skills I had was my songwriting, my singing and guitar/piano playing. Really I had no clue what I was doing and I can say that I knew only 2% of what I know now. Also, the program got a lot of new content in 2022, and more new content coming in 2023. Nathan very often asks if there is something that is not in the course that we would like him to add. Which is amazing. I have been almost 2 years part of that wonderful community and I am still learning. If you are real about making music on a pro level, this is THE course for you. It is far from a waste of money. What I like the most with Nathan and this program, it is the fact that it is so dense, but at the same time so logically structured, it gives you a very detailed view of music producing, and at the same time a broader view of the steps to follow, so you don’t get lost in the huge amount of information. There is as well a module on mixing basics that has been very very helpful. I think I have said enough. I am so grateful for being part of that community and so thankful to Nathan for having put the time and love in creating that amazing program.
I was trying to learn music production solely from YouTube videos- after a while it got frustrating with no foundation to my education. I’ve found the foundation I need with producer accelerator and although I’m still new, I know I’m on a faster, more organized track. And once I’m done with the modules I am happy to have the community where the on staff producers and other members can help out.
A lot of great content structured in category to jump step by step into music production ! So, as a beginner or as an expert there's always a topic to dig in. And cherry on the cake, feedback friday sessions are the bonus every learner should have !
making music isn't easy and Nathan doesn't pretend there are gimmicks for quick results. He sets the foundation on both a technical and mindset level to build a song up on a production level. i'm a composer/musician and the course was eye opening for the elements specific to production, with some mixing guidance thrown in. He genuinely cares for the development of those in the group.
I have been a musician with the desire to produce my own music for many years, but didn't really know what to do. My limited knowledge said, "write a song, and then spend lots of money in a recording studio to record it." After taking the leap into this program, I quickly learned the steps to record my own music and produce it from start to finish, and gained lots of invaluable information on how to do this well. Finally, I have several songs produced, and gaining some traction on streaming platforms. A life-goal coming true! The content in the program is very well organized, and done in a way that you can jump to the most applicable sections when needed. The community and feedback is amazing as well. I especially look forward to Feedback Fridays, where a professional producer will listen you your song and give feedback and tips on how to make it better.
I was leary about doing signing up for Producer Accelerator but I am SO GLAD I did!! This is such incredible value, worth thousand and thousands of dollars but at such a reasonable price. I really appreciate all the time and experience Nathan has put into this course and people who hear my music, now that I've applied what I've learned, have a hard to believing I made it! Definitely worth the investment, especially since you get lifetime access!
I just purchased a membership for this course recently and from what I can see in the list of modules, there is a ton of information to learn here. I am also very grateful for one of the biggest gems in this program and that is the community of music producers and feedback Friday where you can submit music for peer review. Such a wonderful gift. I joined in 2021 and have continued to get value from the course on a regular basis ever since. I can't say that about other courses I've tried. Nathan and the team are fantastic and so are the community members. When i consider the value I've gotten from the course, it was an absolute bargain.
My experience with Producer Accelerator has been great. I think the key things to remember whenever I’m spending money on a service like this are (1) it’s driven by my willingness to interact with the material presented and (2) the material presented has to be of sufficient quality to impart something of value that shows up in my life. By this metric, what Nathan and his team present are of high value. I enjoy watching the instructional videos and interacting with the community available through the apps. Instead of trying to arbitrarily figure out what I should do every time I go into my home studio, I assess where I’m at by looking at the production roadmap Nathan offers and then asking the online producer community questions related to where I’m at at that particular moment. There’s also a feature offered called Feedback Friday where you can submit a track and hear a professional give you notes. It’s worth the price of admission by itself.
The best thing about this program is that it is all clearly laid out and clearly articulated by someone with great experience. Nathan is very straightforward about what you need to do and potentially more importantly, the mindset you need to reach professional quality productions.
Being a creative person, I used to make music note by note on my old DAW in the 90s with my 386 PC and 128Mb hard drive … the sounds were produced by my keyboard, a Roland via midi.. no wave files allowed yet then (Windows 3.1 🤣).. so, very limited. After many years and life turns, I have decided to try again this with current technology, so, after watching Nathan explaining details of music production, I got the confidence to give it a go.. so I joined and started this course around October 2021. My first main wow factor happened when he explained that even the most trained singers, go always slightly off pitch and need correction at times… that made my day and got encouraged to try this! Second wow factor was the reverse snare.. an easy modern approach that changes the song from an ok level to very good. His course is dripping with juicy tips like this.. and he is never shy to share more. This is why I think this course is a must have. Then.. as if that was not enough, there are other music producers in the group who also have their perspectives and experiences to add.. and on top of that, the whole community is happy to also share what they have learned.. this is a never ending cycle of renewing and progress at the speed one wants to go… The course is made of videos with Nathan, and he keeps extending still today, more promised already for next year.. there is also a feedback session every Friday for anyone in the group that wishes to submit their productions for review. Sessions are recorded and shared on the private community. Mistakes we all make, can be highlighted and it is recommended for us all to watch and learn.. This past year, I have released three songs and am currently working on the next three. I have wowed all my friends and I still hear some asking “so.. when is the next?” 😏🤦♂️ I am so grateful for all the help I was given, feedback, tips.. all in a year’s time.. can’t wait to checkpoint on this again at the end of next year..
