I had tried with a different company to get a trademark. They were pushy and didn't give me a good feeling, so I put off trying to trademark what I needed. I decided to try again this year and was hesitant, but after really taking the time to search companies and read through reviews, and I decided to try this company. When I saw that they had no bad reviews, I couldn't believe it. I went to their website and read through it and filled out the form and kept on with the process. The two gentlemen I spoke with were very nice, patient and explained everything to me. They answered my questions and provided me with what I needed to understand what having a trademark meant. I usually file the trademarks for my companies, but lately I’ve found myself short on time—which is probably why I didn’t notice the renewal deadline for one of my marks had passed.
Then I got one of those cold calls that immediately felt spammy. Someone said my trademark had expired and offered to help handle the refiling. I was skeptical, so I told them to call me back the next day after I had time to look into it myself.
Sure enough, the mark had expired.
After doing some research to make sure the company was legitimate, I decided it was best to let the professionals handle the refiling. It turned out to be the right decision. Within about two hours of officially hiring them, my trademarks were back to “Live” and pending review.
