The sales woman was amazing and got me the platinum package which had she not I would not have purchased the warranty! And the zero deductible is so helpful in a time when your already stressed your car is broken worrying about paying a huge deductible is one less thing we have to stress about!
Mr. Russo was very professional and answered all my questions quickly. He really made the process easy. The real test is going to come when I actually have a claim- until then all I have to go by is the purchase experience.
If I could give them a lower rating I would. Select Auto Protect is the biggest scam out there. They won't pay for anything and you can get two different answers depending on who you talk to. I had two major items that needed to be done, and they refuse to pay out a claim. Don't waste your money on this good for nothing company. It is just a scam to take your money and then they won't pay for anything.
I haven't used the warranty yet but the agent I worked with Eric was great.
I would not recommend Auto Select based on my warranty repair experience. My vehicle had a fuel pump issue that should have been covered under warranty, but Auto Select did not honor the repair and kept delaying the situation instead of giving me a clear resolution. I contacted them and asked for a written response, but they did not properly reply. This is very disappointing because customers should be able to trust that a warranty will be honored after purchase. Poor communication, repeated delays, and no clear accountability made this a very frustrating experience. I'm sharing this review so other buyers understand what can happen if they need warranty support after the sale. with care after review, customer service should reach out and give me a voucher and portion of my PLANTIUM PAID $2300 * The process took over 3 weeks to hear the DENIED. even the service advisor from repair shop have bad words too. Can do better as a company, we should get what we signed up or paid. why not one star? I still in hope the company still consider more customers. and care for the current one. PLEASE CARE !!! Terrible service. Easy to get signed up but very difficult process to get your car repaired or fixed (we even had the platinum product). They try to find a technicality to not fix it. I never write reviews but this company absolutely deserves to not be in business. Do NOT use Michelle Moore, she will not answer her phone or emails when a claim is needed. Save your money. We will be requesting a refund of our warranties on both vehicles now and advising friends and family to do the same

I filed a claim about 6 weeks ago, the car had broken down, and it was suggested I didn't drive it by 2 mechanics with a knocking rocker arm, collapsed lifter and pushrod found out after diagnostics. THEY INFORMED ME, THEY DON'T PAY FOR DIAGNOSICS, MY FIRST CLUE THEY ARE BOGUS. After towing the car to one and calling several others I was told the dealer would be the only one who would have the specialized tools to do the repair. The Insurance Company Select Auto Protect, selectautoprotect.com has been elusive and difficult to deal with. YOU CAN GET NOONE ON THE PHONE BUT "REMOTE" CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE ON THE PHONE EVER. Most of the time the people on the phone have been nasty when pressed for answers. My car a Town and Country Van have been at Schumacher Chrysler for nearly 5 weeks now. Select Auto Protect asked for a diagnostic tear down for diagnosis, which was done and an adjuster from their company came out, looked at the car and was shown the problem as described. (a collapsed lifter and pushrod which resulted in additional damage to additional lifters and the camshaft and other parts) repair estimate $6658 plus the labor for the tear downtime $1400.00. I called them 2 days later and they asked for additional teardown to diagnose the root of the problem. The Dealership Service Advisor Mike Cruz at Schumacher Delray 561 454 1855 cell 561 599 4984 insists no additional tear down will render more information than they have already offered, they have diagnosed THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. I have all documentation, as I wrote Select Auto Protect explaining and included the email from Schumacher Chrysler. Update 04/24: After 2 weeks of calls I finally got an adjuster named John Davis on the phone. Spoke in detail and sent him and the claims department 11 pictures and 6 videos concerning the teardown and issues and they offered to send another inspector out; he came out on Wednesday the 29th I was there to witness the inspection and did attest that the teardown was more than sufficient to diagnose the problem and what was needed to repair the engine. He acknowledged all the issues the tech and I were told the claim was legitimate, and he would put in his report as to what would make the engine right as stated in the contract. I called to follow up on the 1st of May 3:30 in the afternoon before end of day as I had not heard anything. The person on the phone told me that they would replace some parts but not others damaged by the failed parts including a camshaft damaged by the 4 failed lifters, rocker arms and pushrods. THEY SAID THEY DON'T PAY FOR PARTSDAMAGED BY OTHER FAILED PARTS "wtf" This is ridiculous as this contradicts their contract. Their VERBALLY offer $1600.00 which barely covers the teardown they ordered AFTER 6 WEEKS OF CALLING 2-3 TIMES A DAY. Select Auto Protect is a predatory company involves unfair, deceptive practices and outright theft of funds. They are taking advantage of people and not backing their claims to service the people who buy their policies. When I bought the policy, I did do some research and the reviews were positive. I realize now they were a new company formed only a couple years before I purchased the policy. Looking now at reviews it seems sadly that what is happening to me is a trend. My experience with select auto protect was easy and quick. I received the call at the time I requested, then the agent went over all of my options, once I decided to purchase the warranty, I asked for some discounts and I received them the price was fair and easy to purchase.

Denied two claims out of the gate. Not a very good experience. Another insurance company came through without an issue.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WARRANTY. Over the past month, I have made repeated efforts to resolve this claim directly with the company through emails and phone calls. Despite multiple follow-ups, the company has not provided a timely written denial identifying the specific contract provision supporting its position and has stated it may take up to 90 days to receive a denial in writing. Nothing.

I'm nearing the end of a 4 year contract I purchased from Select Auto Protect in 2023. Their rep Michelle Moore gave me a very good price. At that point I should have been skeptical about their reimbursement practices. Their "approval man" John Davis denied virtually every claim (of the 3 or 4) that I submitted. A two word piece of advice about buying any service contract from this company: STAY AWAY!

Would you deal with a company that does not have a toll free number? Would you think they would pay your claims if they can’t spare $20/month for a business phone? Before you purchase any plan from them check with your state insurance department. In most of US states they have to be registered or licensed. But they are not. You’re buying a worthless piece of paper. NY,FL,NJ,MA,CT - just a few states where they were all verified not being licensed to do business in. Oklahoma Insurance Department sued them in 2025. They were fined and barred from the state. Don’t read their positive reviews. They all are paid for or most likely posted by the same people and refer to initial sale of the plan. All real reviews are negative and talk about claims experiences. It is not my opinion, AI did a detailed examination of all posted reviews and uncovered this. Their BBB ratings “F”. Run, not walk … don’t waste your money.
