Judging by the customer service I'm receiving, their 5-star reviews are fake. I've had an AC compressor failure, which is a covered item in my platinum level policy. They're blaming a seal, which is an internal, non-serviceable, non-replaceable component OF the AC compressor, saying that they "don't cover gaskets and seals". They won't let me talk to anyone besides customer service, that only relays messages. And now when I call, they leave me on hold and won't pick up. Buyer beware - this company seems predatory.

covered part claim denied without accepting evidence

most reviews with 5-star related to how convenient and easy it is to sign a contract but there is almost no 5-star when it comes to honor the contract. My claim on a covered part was not paid because they claim wear and tear but they refused to even look at evidence or send an adjuster. They don't pay, don't call you back and you are unable to get the money back.

Don't fall for the 30 day guarantee

If you cancel the policy under the 30 day guarantee don't expect to get your refund anytime soon. It is now 30 days since I cancelled my policy. I have called 3 times and each time, the representative says they will put it through. I will be calling again today.

Very Slow to Get Refund if you Cancel.

I don't know how Select Auto handles claims because I cancelled my policy. When the sales person sold me the policy and I told him I was still shopping around, he emphasized that there was a 30 day money back guarantee. I found a better deal and e-mailed the sales person and he said he would handle it. He did not. After 10 days and no refund I called customer service, the rep sent me and e-mail saying that I would get my refund in 10 - 15 days. Today is day 16 and 26 days from when I cancelled with the sales person. I called again and they said I should get in in 2 banking days. Do I trust them. I do not

If I could give this company minus 5 stars. I bout it because the reviews and there web page seemed on the up and up and I know that it’s expensive for Mercedes repairs well the first and only time I tried to use it my claim was defined they sent an claims adjuster so they say to Mercedes to look at my car they denied the claim my car is still at Mercedes they still haven’t called the service advisor to let him know the claim was denied they said it was a pre existing condition which is B’s. I bought the car from Carmax came with all the maintenance records car was in tip top shape no issues. Well my timing was off and they got the bill from Mercedes for 5800 and screwed me denied it and left me holding the bag this is why I bought the plan just in case. Well I was on vacation visiting family they denied trip interruption everything this company is so not legit I called to make a payment and they said there was nobody to take my payment and btw ever since I gave them my card for payment I’ve had a bunch of places I never heard of trying to charge it I had to cancel it please do not do business with this place everybody who hasn’t had a problem never filed a claim that’s why they love them but when u ask them to do what you pay for there terrible after all the calls to them it seems that it like a three person company that’s in a house and there fraudulent they said they work with Mercedes well my advisor said he’s never heard of them. Worst experience we ever had

Worst experience we ever had. Had them for a few months. They were hard to get ahold of and would not cover the broken item on the car. Let alone when we cancelled our coverage. They would not return our $2,500. That we spent to have the coverage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

terrible company my mechanic provided proof there’metal in the oil filter with a known issue this particular engine model. They’re pushing back on me wanting me to pay the $2000 to explore the situation. Then they go on to inform me that I will be responsible for the damage of it considered wear and tear. Being in claims they’re already telling me they’re going to deny this claim is a total rip off. I would suggest nobody to use this company. I have called several times to speak to somebody in the claims department. I keep getting the same lady who is Asian with chickens in the background. She just keeps informed me she’s put a note in for somebody to call me. This is been going on for over two weeks now. I have sent two demand for decision letters to them, simply asking for the written report from their inspector. They seem to be operating in bad faith!

The silver plane lurched for 5 years

The silver plane lurched for 5 years. After a year and a half, we sold the car. The company refused to fund any part of $2100. Their contract is $250 for cancellation after 30 days, plus an additional $50. The contract does not mention any specific amount for the “standard monthly” fee. But they told us it is $100 even if there are no claims. We did not have a claim. We filed a complaint to the Attorney General’s office. To our surprise, the company did not even reply to them. If you are thinking about purchasing a car protection plan, do not consider the company. They are after your money and do not honor their own contract.

Not a reliable company

I had the policy and the first time I tried to use it they denied the claim. It was a Jeep product and anyone who know about their engines know they can be problematic. Without the approval I could not afford repairs so I scrapped vehicle. Agreed to a refund of “unused” contract. Was told refund would arrive within 10 days. It is now 3+ months later with over 50 calls and still have not received my refund.

This company fraudulent in practices of telling me my car would be covered for many repairs infact their term and conditions states they can change policy any time they see fit and states they don't cover normal wear and tear so how is my car covered at all under their policy terms read the fine print on theses types of warranties they say one thing but do another sounds like a scam to me my car is 26 years old with 120.000 miles on it I only drive it 20 miles a week or less and paying 1500 a yr for this policy I feel paying for nothing cancell my policy KEEPING MY MONEY thanks for nothing again And wasting my time and energy
