A $6,000 Teachable Course…

I paid $6,000 for the self-publishing course which promised to make my book a bestseller or my money back. The package came with all sorts of perks like 12 coaching calls with a best-selling author, formatting, marketing, SEO, and a number of other promises. Not one of these promises was fulfilled. The only promise that was even partially delivered was that I received two out of the promised twelve coaching calls. The coach didn't read the drafts or notes I sent, didn't seem familiar with my project, and didn't have much advice other than to follow the teachable course. The meeting was short, the coach seemed strapped, overwhelmed, and preoccupied. The end result was essentially useless. I paid $6,000 for a glorified teachable course. While most businesses charge 20 bucks for teachable courses, self-publishing.com charges $6,000. Just because it's more expensive doesn't mean its more valuable. I tried reaching out to five different people over a period of months to get a refund, but most of them did not respond. Those that did respond just said they could not help me and passed me on from one person to the next. I am a traditionally published author. The sales people at self publishing told me they could offer marketing and other value that they simply didn't deliver. I feel like I got scammed into buying this package and the worst part is I'm at a spot in life where I desperately need the money I invested into this.

The process was great

The process was great. There are so many parts of the process that I would not have been able to figure out on my own. I am so glad I made this investment.

From writing to publishing

Many people say they would like to write a book! The topics are endless. I was welcomed back to SP after many months of dealing with health issues and not writing. The coaches immediately got me started again, lined up appointments when needed and told me that I was already in the production phase! Without their support and the SP programs and resources, my 45 years of dreaming of writing a book would not have become a reality. Thank you!

Palmetto Publishers, trustworthy and dependable.

This was my first experience with writing and publishing a book, and I am so glad I found Palmetto Publishing. Abby and Nicole gave clear guidance, encouragement and support throughout the whole process. Both were patient providing understanding I was not current on the downloading process nor how editing works; however, through their expertise, I have gained confidence I had not prior to their help. My book, Deliverance of a Wounded Heart, dealt with a sensitive subject and when I was discouraged, Abby consistently reassured my progress was great and even worked overtime to ensure my book made the publishing deadline. If I write another, I will definitely go through Palmetto Publishing. Thank you folks!!

First time author

As a first time author it can be very daunting when you completed the writing process and now want your work published. Who do you call? How many publishers are out there. What are the costs and what do you get for your money? So many questions and the more publishers you talk to the more questions you have. Eventually you have to follow your heart in which one is the best for you. The least amount of money being charged isn't always the best. Remember, you get what you pay for. I found that self Publishing was the right option for me and fit within my budget. DO YOUR RESEARCH is the best advice I can give, read there reviews. I have nothing bad to say about SelfPublishing at this point in my process.

Selfpublishing.com has been incredibly…

Selfpublishing.com has been incredibly motivating and practical during my writing journey. Through their podcast series and online courses, they break the overwhelming process of writing, editing, and publishing a book into small, meaningful tasks you can actually do TODAY. That approach made such a difference for me. I finished my first manuscript about six months ago after working on it for over three years, and for the first time, I truly feel like I’m making real progress toward turning it into an actual book. Instead of feeling stuck in the giant “someday” phase, I now have actionable next steps that keep momentum going. The content feels encouraging without being unrealistic, and the structure helps make publishing feel approachable rather than intimidating. I’m really grateful for the guidance and inspiration along the way.

first time writer

If you are a first time writer, when you are complete with your first rough draft you will be looking for the next steps in the publishing process and if writing a book did not already overwhelm you then the next press could. You can research many different options as far as publishers out there and you will see many different starting costs all over the board from several thousand dollars to many thousand dollars so which one is best for you? You get what you pay for and the least expensive isn't always the best choice, but for me, a retired older male where cost drives a lot of my decisions, it was a matter of the value of the dollar. What services will be provided for their fee. I felt Self Publishing offered the most services for their initial fee. I am new to this so hopefully they live up to their promises during there sales pitch, time will tell. So far, early in the process I am very satisfied with them leading me to the next steps. Do your research and homework when choosing your publisher, you might come to the same conclusion I did, self publishing is a good company especially for your first book. Good Luck nd God Bless you all.

My experience with SelfPublishing.com…

My experience with SelfPublishing.com has been far better than previous self-publishing companies I’ve worked with. Their coaching felt authentic, supportive, and focused on clear next steps and goals. Unlike other companies that seemed more focused on profit than quality, SelfPublishing.com felt genuinely invested in both the book and the person behind it.

Thank you Selfpublishing.com

Thank you Selfpublishing.com! You held my hand and educated me through the entire publishing process, and now The Bashful Ladybug is complete. The classes, coaching, and publication team, walked me through the entire process, and now I'm a published author. I looked at multiple platforms, and chose SP for its emphasis on educating the writer and understanding the business. Thank you SP! I highly recommend.

A Writers Best Friend

Selfpublishing.com is easy to work with. You know the saying "you get what you pay for"? Well Selfpublishing.com is pricey, but so worth it. The courses, the coaches, the production team, the support available at most anytime, is unmatched. Like anything else, you have to do your part. When you do that, this team is the best cheerleader and support system you can hope for.

Writing a book becomes 'doable' when you have a kind, professional team walking alongside you

Writing a book requires creativity, persistence, perseverance, and confidence. All of these qualities can ebb and flow throughout the process. But when you have a team with skill, dedication, and genuine commitment to your success, the work gets done, even when life makes it incredibly hard. Self-publishing has stood by me through challenges I never anticipated. They gave me grace, flexibility, and extensions when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and support that went far beyond professional obligation and spoke to their humanity. That diagnosis was followed by a major move and the ongoing responsibility of caring for my 92-year-old mother. At several points, I questioned whether I could continue. At times, I gave up on myself. Self-publishing never did. They continued to encourage me, remind me of my purpose, and walk alongside me when my energy and confidence were low. This is an organization that truly cares about its clients as people, not just projects. It is led by Chandler Bolt, a man who genuinely walks the 'I care' walk. I have never witnessed such devotion to the success, dignity, and well-being of those he serves. If you are looking for a self-publishing team that combines expertise with compassion, accountability with encouragement, and professionalism with heart, I cannot recommend Self Publishing highly enough, and most particularly Ali Tugwell. They didn’t just help me publish a book; they helped me keep going when life tried to stop me.
