While we always aim to honor initial quotes, there are instances where carriers adjust rates at the time of dispatch in order to accept and complete the order within the requested timeframe—especially for guaranteed pickups. In such situations, the updated rate is presented as an option, and customers may choose to proceed or decline. We understand this can be frustrating, particularly on short notice, and your feedback regarding how this was handled is noted and will be reviewed internally. Dear John, We’re sorry to hear about your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to address them. Prior to this review being submitted, our team attempted to reach out to follow up on your transport experience and confirm whether everything was received as expected. At that time, we did not receive a response, and no damage was reported to us upon delivery or shortly thereafter. Upon receipt of your review, our Claims Department was immediately notified to further review the matter and ensure it is properly evaluated. To clarify, all carriers utilized through our network are required to maintain active cargo insurance in compliance with industry regulations and contractual requirements. In order to properly investigate and process any potential damage claim, we kindly ask that you complete the damage report form that was provided to you. This will allow our Claims Department to formally review all details, documentation, and timelines in accordance with the established procedure. We remain available to support you through the process once the required information has been submitted.

Dear KQ, We appreciate any honest feedback, we offer the same.  As any business, we put in a lot of time, money  and effort into serving our customers in order to achieve overall success for them as well as us as a business.  No one is forced to use our services, but utilizing our resources and choosing not to pay for the costs associated, is unreasonable and unethical. SGT was hired to utilize our auto hauling industry expertise and proprietary vetted motor carrier network to set up transport with a licensed and insured motor carrier. Unlike most brokers, we stand by our commitment to providing you the best service possible by executing contract agreements that bind our commitment to our customers. This is to help our customers not hurt them. We take that commitment seriously and expect that from our customers as well. What the general public and most first time shippers do not understand is a tremendous amount of resourcing goes into the set up transports and the vetting of our motor carrier network to ensure proper carrier government and insurance credentials. The moment the service contract is signed by our customer, there are no delays in taking action to resource that transport. We therefore maintain a strict cancellation policy and we go to great lengths to be transparent by communicating this in many ways; verbally, on our website, linked in customer emails, and within the signed customer contract. Unfortunately, the customer breached our mutual written contract,  used our resources, then canceled, making a cancellation fee applicable.
